The 2003 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 24th of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. Its started on 17 May and finished on 2 August. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. [1] No club participated in the 2004 CAF Champions League or the 2004 CAF Winner's Cup.

Sporting Clube da Praia was the defending team of the title. A total of 11 clubs participated in the competition, one from each island league.

The league was contested by 11 teams with Académico do Aeroporto winning the championship. [1]

It was the first time that a total of 31 matches were played, 77 goals were scored

It would be the first time that two participants came from the island of Santiago and Santo Antão and they featured no single island championship match, they achieve two separate qualifications. Also it was the first participant of a club from Tarrafal, Amabox Barcelona and from Paul, Paulense. It was the only time that a participant of Fogo was outside the city of São Filipe, a club named Cutelinho.

The 2011 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 32nd of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. Its started on 14 May and finished on 9 July, later than last year. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. CS Mindelense won the 2011 title. No teams would participate in the 2012 CAF Champions League or the 2012 CAF Confederation Cup.

The 2015 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 36th beginner level competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. Its started on 9 May and finished on 11 July. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. The schedule including its matches were created on Saturday January 10. CS Mindelense won the eleventh title and became the second club after Sporting Praia to win three in a row. Neither clubs participated in the CAF Champions League competition in 2016 and in the 2016 CAF Confederation Cup. This was the second ever and most recent finals competition that two clubs came from the same island as well as the same city.

The 1999 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 20th of the competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. GD Amarantes won their first and only title. Sporting Clube da Praia would be the only time that a non-winning title would participate in the 2000 CAF Champions League, the criteria for qualification was not continued. No club took part in the 2000 CAF Winners' Cup.

The tournament was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Sporting Praia won their fourth title. No club participated in the 2003 CAF Champions League and the 2003 CAF Winners Cup.

Cutelinho Futebol Clube is a professional football club that currently plays in the Fogo Island League in Cape Verde. It is based in the village of Mosteiros in the northeastern part of the island and plays in the stadium with a capacity of 1000. Its current manager is Amarildo Baessa. Its nickname is leoninhos which means little lions in Portuguese. On September 2, 1996, the team faced Desportivo de Cova Figueira for the first time and defeated that club 3–1 in the opening tournament.

The 2017 Cape Verdean Football Championship season was the 38th beginner level competition of the first-tier football in Cape Verde. It started on 13 May and finished on 27 August, it started a days later than last season. Originally to finish on 15 July, instead, it was rescheduled to 27 August. The championship was governed by the Cape Verdean Football Federation.

The 2017–18 season is the season of competitive football (soccer) in Cape Verde.

The 2012 Cape Verdean Cup season was the 5th competition of the regional football cup in Cape Verde. The season started on 11 August and finished with the cup final on 24 August. The cup competition was organized by the Cape Verdean Football Federation. Maio's Onze Unidos won their only title.
