The 2003 ABSA Cup was the 2003 season of the South African club football (soccer) knockout tournament, and the first under its then sponsored name, the ABSA Cup.
The final was a Cape derby played at the Athlone Stadium, and was won by Santos, who defeated Ajax Cape Town 2–0. [1] [2] [3]

The South African Premier Division, officially referred to as the DStv Premiership for sponsorship purposes, is the premier men's professional soccer league and the highest division in the league system of South Africa, organised since 1996.

The trophy was Orlando Pirates' first major cup win in ten years. It was contested by the eight top teams from the Premier Soccer League table at the end of the 2009–10 season. The tournament began on 20 August 2009, and ended on 2 October 2010. The quarter finals were played as single matches, while the semi-finals are played over two legs. The final was played at the neutral Moses Mabhida Stadium.
