Orlando Pirates Football Club is a South African professional football club based in Orlando, Soweto and plays in the top-tier system of Football in South Africa known as DStv Premiership. The team plays its home matches at Orlando Stadium in Soweto.
Orlando Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Soweto, a township in Johannesburg, in Gauteng province in South Africa. It is the home venue for Orlando Pirates Football Club, a professional soccer team that plays in the Premier Soccer League and owned by the City of Johannesburg.
The Namibia Premier League (NPL) was the highest level of domestic association football in Namibia until it was disbanded following the 2018/2019 season. The league was established in 1990 and was trimmed to 12 teams from the traditional 16 in 2005. Motale played club football for Dynamos and Orlando Pirates; he also earned seven caps for the South African national side between 1994 and 1995, scoring two goals. He won the 1995 African Champions League with Orlando Pirates. Motale was also part of the squad that won the 1996 African Cup of Nations.
Mark Alan Merchant is an American former professional baseball player whose career spanned ten seasons in minor league baseball, parts of one season in the Northern League, and one season in the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. A highly rated prospect out of Oviedo High School, Merchant was drafted by the Pittsburgh Pirates with the second overall selection after Ken Griffey Jr. in the 1987 Major League Baseball draft. During the 1989 season, the Pirates traded Merchant to the Seattle Mariners as a part of a five-player deal.
