2003 North Korean local elections

Elections to provincial, municipal, city, county and district people's assemblies were held in North Korea on August 3, 2003. It was held alongside the election to the Supreme People's Assembly.

26,650 provincial, municipal, city, county and district people's assembly deputies were elected.

Voter turnout was reported as 99.9%, with candidates receiving a 100% approval rate. [1]

1943 Philippine legislative election

The 1943 Philippine legislative election was held on September 20, 1943 to elect the 54 of the 108 members of the National Assembly of the Second Philippine Republic.

Under the Constitution of 2010 and other reforms to Provincial Administration the country acquired a new system of Counties. The previous Provinces were scrapped and the 46 Districts, in existence since 1992, were turned into Counties with elected governments.

Local elections were held on the Philippines on May 13, 2013, the same day and on the same ballot as national elections. Elected were governors, mayors and council members of Philippine provinces, Philippine cities and Philippine municipalities. Separate elections for barangay officials were held on October.

1956 North Korean local elections

Two local elections were held in North Korea in 1956. Town, neighborhood, village, and workers' district people's assembly elections were held on November 20, with 54,279 deputies elected. Provincial, city, county, and district people's assembly elections were held on November 27, with 1,009 provincial people's assembly deputies and 9,364 city and county people's assembly deputies elected.

1977 North Korean local elections

Elections to provincial, municipal, city, county and district people's assemblies were held in North Korea on March 4, 1977. In total, 3,244 provincial people's assembly deputies and 24,268 city, county and district people's assembly deputies were elected.

2018 South Korean local elections

The 7th local elections were held in South Korea on 13 June 2018. The election coincided with the by-elections for the vacant seats in the National Assembly. The election was a landslide victory for the Democratic Party of Korea, the ruling party, after two successful summits with the third inter-Korean summit on 27 April and the first North Korea-United States summit in Singapore on 12 June.
