The 2004 Kazakhstan Premier League was the 13th season of the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest football league competition in Kazakhstan, and took place between 3 April and 2 November. [1]
For the 2004 season, the league was expanded to 19 teams from 17. This meant that Almaty and FC Yassi were promoted to the Premier League, and no teams were relegated the previous season.
Before the start of the season Yelimay were renamed Semey, Batys became Akzhayik, Esil Kokshetau became Okzhetpes and promoted teams Tsesna and Yassi became Alma-Ata and Yassi Sairam.
Only Kairat obtained a UEFA license for the 2005/2006 season.

The competition began on 29 March 2015 and will end with the final in November 2015. Kairat are the defending champions, having won their first cup in the 2014 competition.
The 2016 Kazakhstan Premier League was the 25th season of the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest football league competition in Kazakhstan. Astana were the defending champions having won their second league championship the previous year, and they successfully defended their title this season. The season began on 12 March 2016 and concluded on 29 October 2016; the relegation play-off took place on 5 November 2016.
The 2017 FC Taraz season is the ninth successive season that the club will play in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan, and 24th in total.
The 2016 FC Akzhayik season is the club's 9th season in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan, and their second since 2010.They will also participate in the Kazakhstan Cup.
The 2017 FC Kaisar season is the club's first season back in the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest tier of association football in Kazakhstan, after their relegation at the end of the 2015 season and 21st in total. Kaisar will also take part in the Kazakhstan Cup.
The 2019 Kazakhstan Premier League was the 28th season of the Kazakhstan Premier League, the highest football league competition in Kazakhstan. FC Astana defended their title, winning the championship for the sixth season in a row, whilst FC Atyrau and FC Aktobe were relegated and FC Taraz survived a relegation playoff against FC Akzhayik.
