The Campeonato Pernambucano 2009 was the 95th edition of the Campeonato Pernambucano . The competition was won by Sport.

The Campeonato Pernambucano is divided into two rounds: Taça Revolução Constitucionalista de 1817 (1817 Constitutionalist Revolution Cup) and Taça Confederação do Equador (Confederation of the Equator Cup).
In each round, the teams played once against each of the remaining teams. The champion of the round was the team that made the most points at the end of the eleven rounds. The final was played between the champions of the shifts.
The Campeonato Pernambucano will be decided in two extra matches between the winner of the two Cups. If a club win the two cups it is declared as the Campeonato Pernambucano 2009 champions.

The Brazilian states football championships are the professional adult male football competitions in Brazil that take place between January and April for the Northeast, Central-West, Southeast and South regions. In some states from the North Region, however, it takes place in May or June. One such league, the Campeonato Paulista, which started in 1902, is the oldest football competition in Brazil. All professional football clubs in Brazil play in a state championship, but not all qualify for the national league.

Since 2021, it has been played between clubs that finished 5th to 8th in the Taça Guanabara.

The 89th season of the Campeonato Gaúcho kicked off on January 20 and ended on April 19. Repeating the 2008 final score, Internacional clinched their 39th title – second consecutive – after beating Caxias 8–1 in the Taça Fábio Koff final. As Internacional had already won Taça Fernando Carvalho, beating city rivals Grêmio 2–1 in the final, Campeonato Gaúcho finals were unnecessary.

It is run by the Portuguese Football Federation and began in 1993. An initial ten teams compete in the league, which replaced the Taça Nacional as the highest level of women's football in Portugal. The 2011 Campeonato da Primeira Divisão de Futebol Profissional da FGF, better known as the 2011 Campeonato Gaúcho or Gaúcho, was the 91st edition of the top-flight football league of the Brazilian state of Rio Grande do Sul. The season began on 16 January and ended on 15 May. Internacional successfully defended in the final its 2010 title.
The Taça de Portugal is an annual association football competition and the premier knockout tournament in Portuguese football. For sponsorship reasons, it has been known as Taça de Portugal Placard since the 2015–16 season. Organised by the Portuguese Football Federation since it was first held in 1938, the competition is open to professional and amateur clubs from the top-four league divisions. Matches are played from August–September to May–June, and the final is traditionally held at the Estádio Nacional in Oeiras, near Lisbon. The winners qualify for the Supertaça Cândido de Oliveira and the UEFA Europa League.
The 2013 Campeonato Pernambucano, named Pernambucano Coca-Cola 2013 - Série A1 for sponsorship reasons, was the 99th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco. With the return of Copa do Nordeste in 2013 and the participation of three teams from the state, the formula of this edition was not the same as the previous championship. The competition is started on January 20 and concluded on May 19. Santa Cruz won their 27th championship, with Sport as runner-up. Petrolina and Belo Jardim were relegated to the second division of Campeonato Pernambucano.

The 2015 Campeonato Paraense de Futebol was the 103rd edition of Pará's top professional football league. The competition began in November 9, 2014 and ended on May 3, 2015. Remo won the championship by the 44th time.
The 2017 Campeonato Pernambucano was the 103rd edition of the state championship of Pernambuco. The championship began on January 4 and ended on June 28. Twelve teams were competing, ten returning from the 2016 and two promoted from the 2016 Pernambucano A2 Championship .
Santa Cruz were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Salgueiro in the semi-finals.
Sport defeated Salgueiro 2–1 on aggregate to win their 41st Campeonato Pernambucano title.
The 2018 Campeonato Pernambucano was the 104th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by FPF. The championship began on 17 January and ended on 8 April. Sport were the defending champions, but were eliminated by Central in the semi-finals.
The 2019 Campeonato Pernambucano was the 105th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by FPF. The championship began on 19 January and ended on 21 April.
The 2020 Campeonato Pernambucano da Série A1 was the 106th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by FPF. The championship began on 18 January and ended on 5 August.
The 2020 Campeonato Carioca de Futebol was the 117th edition of the top division of football in the state of Rio de Janeiro. The competition was organized by FERJ. It began on 22 December 2019 and ended on 15 July 2020. On 16 March 2020, FERJ suspended the Campeonato Carioca indefinitely due to the coronavirus pandemic in Brazil. The tournament resumed behind closed doors on 18 June 2020.
The 2021 Campeonato Pernambucano da Série A1 was the 107th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by FPF. The championship began on 24 February and ended on 23 May. Salgueiro were the defending champions but they were eliminated in the semi-finals.
The 2023 Campeonato Pernambucano was the 109th edition of the state championship of Pernambuco organized by FPF. The championship began on 7 January and ended on 22 April 2022. Náutico were the defending champions but they were eliminated in the quarter-finals.
