Women's heavyweight champion Tong Wen was stripped of her gold medal because of a doping offence, but was later reinstated. [2]

The IBA Men's World Boxing Championships and the IBA Women's World Boxing Championships are biennial amateur boxing competitions organised by the International Boxing Association, which is the sport governing body. Alongside the Olympic boxing programme, they are the highest level of competition for the sport. The championships were first held for men in 1974 and the first women's championships were held over 25 years later in 2001.
The Judo championships of UAAP Season 70 was contested from October 6 to October 7, 2007, at the Ateneo Blue Eagle Gym. There were three titles given, one for each division: Men's, women's, Boys' (Juniors).
The Judo competition of the 2008 Summer Paralympics was held in Beijing Workers' Gymnasium from September 7 to September 9. There were 13 events, corresponding to seven weight classes for men and six for women. At the Paralympics, judo is contested by visually impaired athletes.

The judo competition at the 2018 Central American and Caribbean Games was held in Barranquilla, Colombia from 30 July to 2 August at the Coliseo Colegio Marymount.
Judo at the 2020 Summer Paralympics in Tokyo took place at the Nippon Budokan from 27 to 29 August 2021. There were 138 qualified slots in 13 events: 7 male events and 6 female events.
The Judo at the 2019 European Youth Summer Olympic Festival contests were held at the Heydar Aliyev Arena, Baku, Azerbaijan, from 24 to 27 July 2019.
The Mixed team competition in judo at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo was held on 31 July 2021 at the Nippon Budokan.
