The Men's 2010 European Amateur Boxing Championships were held at the Megasport Sport Palace in Moscow, Russia from June 4 to June 13, 2010. It was the 38th edition of this biennial competition organised by the European governing body for amateur boxing, EUBC.

The European Union Amateur Boxing Championships is a competition for amateur boxers from the European Union and its candidate countries. The championships are organised by the continent's governing body, the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC). The first edition of the men's tournament took place in 2003 in Strasbourg, France and the women's in 2006 in Porto Torres, Italy. The men's tournament was held annually from 2003 to 2009 and every four years since 2014, while the women's tournament was held annually from 2006 to 2011 and every four years since 2013.

Turkish Boxing Federation is the governing body of amateur boxing sport in Turkey. It was formed in 1924. The headquarters is located in Çankaya district of Ankara. It is a member of the International Boxing Association (AIBA) and the European Boxing Confederation (EUBC), formerly European Amateur Boxing Association (EABA).

The Women’s European Boxing Championships was hosted and organised by the Romania Boxing Association in Romania in 2014. The event was held in Bucharest in Romania from May 31–June 7.

Lauren Louise Price is a Welsh amateur boxer, and former kickboxer and footballer. While representing Wales she won a bronze medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, becoming the first Welsh woman to win a Commonwealth Games boxing medal. Four years later she surpassed this achievement by winning gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games, followed by a gold at the 2019 World Championships. While representing Great Britain, she won gold medals at the 2019 European Games and 2020 Summer Olympics.

At the 2019 European Games in Minsk, matches across fifteen weight categories in boxing were contested between 21 and 30 June 2019, of which ten were allocated to men and five were allocated to women.
