The Men's 2011 European Amateur Boxing Championships was held in Ankara, Turkey from June 17 to June 24, 2011. It was the 39th edition of this biennial competition organised by the European governing body for amateur boxing, the EUBC.
From 17 June–19 June the preliminaries were held, on June 20–21 the quarterfinals in all categories were held. The semifinals took place on June 23 with the finals at June 24. [1]
Seventeen-year-old Salman Alizadeh from Azerbaijan became the youngest gold medal winner in the European Boxing Championships since Mario Bianchini in 1930. [2]

The European Amateur Boxing Championships is the highest competition for boxing amateurs in Europe, organised by the continent's governing body EUBC, which stands for the European Boxing Confederation. The first edition of the tournament took place in 1924, although the first 'competitive' championships were hosted by the city of Stockholm (Sweden) in 1925.
The 2006 Women's European Union Amateur Boxing Championships were held in the Area Teleferica in Porto Torres, Sardinia, Italy from June 6 to June 11. This was the 1st ever edition of this annual competition, and was organised by the European governing body for amateur boxing, EABA.
