The 2011 season was the 97th season in Palmeiras's existence, and their 96th in Brazil's first division. Palmeiras will also play the usual state league, Campeonato Paulista, the national cup, Copa do Brasil and the continental cup, the Copa Sudamericana.
Due to the renovations taking place at Palestra Itália for the construction of the new Arena, Palmeiras played all their home matches of the 2011 season, at Pacaembu and at the Canindé Stadium.
Palmeiras' first match in 2011 will be a friendly away against XV de Piracicaba on 12 January.

In December 2010, the FPF announced that Palmeiras will face Botafogo-SP at the Pacaembu Stadium, Palmeiras's temporary home until 2012, for the 1st Round of the Campeonato Paulista. On 11 January 2011, the FPF announced the schedule of all matches in the 2011 Paulista.

On 19 January, CBF announced the fixtures for the 1st Round of the 2011 Copa do Brasil. Palmeiras faced Comercial from the state of Piauí, playing the 1st leg away, on 23 February in Teresina and the 2nd leg home, on 2 March in São Paulo. Palmeiras advanced to the Second Phase of the competition, and faced Uberaba in Minas Gerais, winning by the score of 4–0 and securing a place in the Round of 16. In the last eight round, Palmeiras played against Santo André and won by the aggregate score of 3–1, advancing to the Quarterfinals. In the 1st leg of the Round of 16, Palmeiras suffered a shocking defeat by the score of 6–0 to Coritiba, the team didn't play football at all and Coritiba was magnificent. In the 2nd leg, Palmeiras conquered a 2–0 victory at home against Coritiba, but it wasn't enough to achieve qualification to the tournaments semifinals.

The 2009 Campeonato Brasileiro Série A was the 53rd edition of the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the top-level of professional football in Brazil. It was contested by 20 clubs starting on May 9 and ending on December 6. The 2009 edition was won by Flamengo.
The 2005 season was São Paulo's 76th season since club's existence. In this season Tricolor won the Campeonato Paulista, league of State of São Paulo for the 21st time and the continental cup, Copa Libertadores de America, beating Atlético Paranaense in the first final with teams from the same country of tournament history, winning by 4–0 in the second match, 5–1 in aggregate. The continental title enabled São Paulo to participate of FIFA Club World Championship in the end of season when the club became a world champion for the third time, defeating the English club, European champions Liverpool in the final with a single goal scored by Mineiro in the 27th minute of first time. In the Campeonato Brasileiro São Paulo finished in 11th position and was eliminated by Internacional in first round of Copa Sudamericana.
The 2004 season was São Paulo's 75th season since club's existence. São Paulo played Campeonato Paulista, State of São Paulo league, being defeated in a single match quarterfinal by São Caetano, 0–2, at home field due advantage points in first phase. After 10 years the club return to play the continental tournament, Copa Libertadores, that were champions in 1992, 1993 and runners-up in 1994 the last participation before 2004, reached this time the semifinals where they lost to Once Caldas in away game for 1–2 after a 0–0 in Morumbi. In Campeonato Brasileiro ending the 46 rounds with a third position, but the featured unpleasant happened in 38th match against São Caetano on 27 October when the defender of adversary Serginho fell in the field near the small area of São Caetano's defence suffering a fatal cardiac arrest at 60 minutes. With announcement of his death the match was finished and the remainder was played on 3 November. In Copa Sudamericana Tricolor was eliminated by rival Santos in second stage.
The 2002 season was São Paulo's 73rd season since club's existence. The club became a runners-up of Torneio Rio – São Paulo losing the final to rival Corinthians. Exceptionally this year the main clubs from state like Santos, Corinthians and Palmeiras along São Paulo did not participated of Campeonato Paulista to not overload the number of games in calendar, with two tournaments being disputed at same time, Torneio Rio – São Paulo and Campeonato Paulista, then was created only this year the Supercampeonato paulista played by Corinthians, São Paulo, Palmeiras and Ituano. Tricolor won the title against Ituano, 2-2 (away); 4-1 (home). At Copa do Brasil was defeated again by Corinthians, this time in semifinal. In Copa dos Campeões was eliminated in group stage and quarterfinals in Série A losing to rival Santos.

In Campeonato Paulista the club finished in 8th place. Tricolor reach the Quarter-finals at the Campeonato Brasileiro and Copa do Brasil losing to Atlético Paranaense in the league and to Grêmio at the cup. São Paulo was eliminated at the group stage in the Copa Mercosur and became a runners-up at the Copa dos Campeões after was defeated by Flamengo.

After finishing the national league in sixth position in previous season, the team was not able to take part on Copa Libertadores for the second year consecutive thus participating in national cup, Copa do Brasil. However the second half of season bring great results for The Dearest, finishing 4th position in league and an international title of Copa Sudamericana in the end of year. The Tricolor won the trophy for the first time against Argentine club Tigre in a troubled match that opponent refused to play the second half of final match in Morumbi. São Paulo was winning by 2–0, goals by Lucas at 22' and Osvaldo at 28' when referee whistled the final of match without return of Argentines to field, was the 12th international official title in Tricolor's history.
The 2012 Season was Palmeiras's 98th season, and their 97th in Brazil's first division. Palmeiras also played in the usual state league, Campeonato Paulista, the national cup, Copa do Brasil and the continental cup, the Copa Sudamericana.

Santos won the Campeonato Paulista for the second consecutive year and the 18th in history. Santos' Copa Libertadores campaign was very well, exiting in the semi-finals with a defeat on aggregate score against Grêmio. Santos ended the Campeonato Brasileiro in the 2nd position, 13 points behind leaders São Paulo.
The 2012 season is the 102nd season in the history of Sport Club Corinthians Paulista. In 2012, Corinthians won its first ever Copa Libertadores title.
The 2014 season was São Paulo's 85th year since the club's existence. The team played the Campeonato Paulista between January and March being defeated in the quarterfinal single match against Penapolense, after a 0-0 draw in the home stadium Morumbi, São Paulo's fall in the penalty shootout by 4-5. In the Copa do Brasil the club reach the third round when it was beaten by Bragantino with an aggregated score of 3-4. The second half of the year was most promising to the Muricy Ramalho's team, in Copa Sudamericana Tricolor was only defeated in the semifinals in face of Colombian club Atlético Nacional over again on penalty shootout this time by 1-4. In the national league Série A, the Dearest take a place in the Copa Libertadores ending the table on second place with 70 points, 10 behind the absolute champion Cruzeiro. The highlight of the year was the return of Kaká, the FIFA World Player of the Year in 2007. Kaká was loaned by American club Orlando City until the end of the season and played 24 matches scoring 3 goals. In the last match of midfielder at November 30, in a 1-1 draw against Figueirense in a game by 37th round of the league, Kaká was acclaimed for more than 30,000 São Paulo fans. Other highlight was noted by the 41 years old capitain Rogerio Ceni that announced the retirement at the end of season. The goalkeeper surpass the mark of 590 victories in official matches reached by Ryan Giggs, the feat was done in October 27 after a 3-0 victory over Goiás. Rogério also arrived the number of 123 goals, almost twice the mark of the second goalkeeper goalscorer Chilavert with 62 goals. Only two matches before the end of season Rogério postponed his retirement to 2015 season.

The 2017 season was the 96th in the Cruzeiro Esporte Clube's existence. Along with the Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, the club also competed in the Campeonato Mineiro, the Primeira Liga, the Copa do Brasil and the Copa Sudamericana.
The 1996 season is the 82nd season in Palmeiras's existence, and their 82nd in Brazil's first division. The club competed in Campeonato Paulista, Copa do Brasil and Campeonato Brasileiro Série A.
