Based on Rashtriyashayar Jhaverchand Meghani's play "Shetal ne Kathe", the film narrates the story of a newlywed man who discovers that his wife is in love with another man and decides to unite them. The Zee Cine Award for Best Actor – Male is chosen by the viewers of Zee Entertainment Enterprises as part of its annual award ceremony for Hindi films, to recognise a male actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role. Following its inception in 1998, a ceremony was not held in 2009 and 2010, but resumed back in 2011. Shah Rukh Khan, with seven awards holds the record of the maximum wins in this category.

"Sheila Ki Jawani" is an Indian Hindi-language song sung by Sunidhi Chauhan and Vishal Dadlani featuring Katrina Kaif along with Akshay Kumar in the 2010 Bollywood film Tees Maar Khan. The music is composed by composer duo Vishal–Shekhar and the lyrics are penned by Dadlani. The moves were choreographed by choreographer-director Farah Khan, who went on to win the Filmfare award for best choreography for the movie.

The 11th Zee Cine Awards ceremony honouring the winners and nominees of the best of Bollywood cinema films released in 2007. The ceremony was held on 26 April 2008 at ExCeL London, London.
