Om Shanti Om led the ceremony with 15 nominations, followed by Guru with 10 nominations, and Chak De! India , Life in a... Metro and Taare Zameen Par with 9 nominations each.
Taare Zameen Par won 6 awards, including Best Director (for Aamir Khan) and Best Actor (Critics) (for Darsheel Safary, thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony.

The Zee Cine Award Best Film is chosen via the public of India. The winners are announced in March.
Saawariya (transl. Beloved) is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language romance film produced and directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, based on Fyodor Dostoevsky's 1848 short story White Nights. The film marked the debut of Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. It was the last film appearance of both Zohra Sehgal and Begum Para before their deaths. Co-produced by Sony Pictures Entertainment, it is the first Bollywood film to receive a North American release by a Hollywood studio and is one of the first Bollywood films to be released on Blu-ray Disc.
Welcome is an Indian 2007 Hindi-language comedy film co-written and directed by Anees Bazmee. Loosely inspired by the 1999 comedy Mickey Blue Eyes, and marking the final screen appearance of actor Feroz Khan, it stars Anil Kapoor, Nana Patekar, Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Paresh Rawal, and Mallika Sherawat in prominent roles. Sunil Shetty and Malaika Arora feature in special appearances.
Taare Zameen Par, also known as Like Stars on Earth in English, is a 2007 Indian Hindi-language psychological drama film produced and directed by Aamir Khan. It stars Khan himself, with Darsheel Safary, Tanay Chheda, Vipin Sharma and Tisca Chopra. It explores the life and imagination of Ishaan (Safary), an artistically gifted 8-year-old boy whose poor academic performance leads his parents to send him to a boarding school, where a new art teacher Nikumbh (Khan) suspects that he is dyslexic and helps him to overcome his reading disorder.
Darsheel Safary is an Indian actor who appears in Hindi, Gujarati films and television. Safary made his film debut with the leading role of a dyslexic student in Aamir Khan's directorial debut, the critically acclaimed drama Taare Zameen Par (2007), for which he won the Filmfare critic's Award for Best Actor.
Tisca Zareen Chopra is an Indian actress, author and film producer who has appeared in over 45 feature films, predominantly in Hindi language.
The 14th Screen Awards also The Nokia 14th Annual Screen Awards ceremony, presented by Indian Express Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2007. The ceremony was held on 10 January 2008 at Bandra Kurla Complex Ground, Mumbai. Hosted by Sajid Khan, it was telecasted on 27 January 2008 on StarPlus.
