The 10th Zee Cine Awards ceremony honoring the winners and nominees of the best of Bollywood cinema films released in 2006. The ceremony was held on 1 April 2007 at Genting Highlands in Malaysia. [1]
Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna led the ceremony with 25 nominations, followed by Rang De Basanti with 22 nominations, Omkara with 16 nominations and Krrish with 14 nominations.
Rang De Basanti won 7 awards, including Best Film and Best Director (for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra), thus becoming the most-awarded film at the ceremony.

Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna, also abbreviated as KANK, is a 2006 Indian Hindi-language musical romantic drama film written and directed by Karan Johar and produced by his mother Hiroo Yash Johar, in her debut, under the Dharma Productions banner. The film stars Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Rani Mukherji, Preity Zinta and Kirron Kher. Set and mostly taking place in New York City, the film explores themes of adultery. The film was promoted with the tag-line "A Love... That Broke All Relationships".
Rang De Basanti is a 2006 Indian drama film written, produced and directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, and co-written by Rensil D'Silva. The film features an ensemble cast consisting of Aamir Khan, Siddharth, R. Madhavan, Atul Kulkarni, Soha Ali Khan, Sharman Joshi, Kunal Kapoor and British actress Alice Patten. It follows a British film student traveling to India to document the story of five freedom fighters of the Indian revolutionary movement. She befriends and casts five young men in the film, which inspires them to fight against the corruption of their own government.
The Zee Cine Award for Best Actor – Female is chosen by the members of Zee Entertainment Enterprises as part of its annual award ceremony for Hindi films, to recognise a female actor who has delivered an outstanding performance in a leading role. Following its inception in 1998, a ceremony wasn't held in 2009 and 2010, but resumed back in 2011.
The Zee Cine Award Best Film is chosen via the public of India. The winners are announced in March.
The 13th Screen Awards also The Hero Honda 13th Annual Star Screen Awards ceremony, presented by Indian Express Group, honored the best Indian Hindi-language films of 2006. The ceremony was held on 6 January 2007 at Bandra Kurla Complex Ground, Mumbai, hosted by Raju Srivastav and Navin Prabhakar. And it was telecasted on 14 January 2007, StarPlus.
