Football (soccer) competitions: Montenegrin First League, Montenegrin Cup.
The Montenegro national football team has represented Montenegro in international football since 2007. It is controlled by the Football Association of Montenegro, the governing body for football in Montenegro. Montenegro's home ground is Podgorica City Stadium in Podgorica.

Fudbalski klub Lovćen is a football club based in Cetinje, Montenegro. It was founded on 20 June 1913. It was named after Mount Lovćen near Cetinje. Lovćen is the oldest football club in Montenegro and one of the oldest in Southeastern Europe. Today, Lovćen is a member of Montenegrin Second League. FK Lovćen is a part of Lovćen Cetinje sports society.
Fudbalski klub Ribnica is a football club from Konik, Podgorica, Montenegro. They currently compete in the Montenegrin Third League – Center.
The Montenegrin Cup is the national football cup played in Montenegro, established in 2006. The winner of the cup is awarded a spot in the second qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League if they have not already gained a spot in the UEFA Champions League.
Most successful participants until now are FK Budućnost and FK Rudar with four titles.
The Montenegro women's national volleyball team is the national team of Montenegro. It is governed by the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro and takes part in international volleyball competitions.
Omladinski fudbalski klub Durmitor is a Montenegrin football club based in Žabljak. They competed in the Montenegrin Third League, before the men's team was disbanded in 2013.

Teams from Montenegro have been playing on the international scene since they represented SFR Yugoslavia during the 1970s. Since 2006, Montenegrin teams have played as representatives of independent Montenegro, and qualified through the Montenegrin First League and Montenegrin Cup.
Currently, four Montenegrin clubs take part in UEFA European Cups. The champion of the First Montenegrin League plays in UEFA Champions League qualifiers. The second and third placed team from the First League play in UEFA Europa Conference League qualifiers. The winner of the Montenegrin Cup also plays in the Europa Conference league.
Montenegrin women's team was founded in 2012. It is organised and headed by Football Association of Montenegro.
Montenegro played first official match on 13 March 2012 in Bar, against Bosnia and Herzegovina (2:3). Best competitive result, Montenegro made at 2013–14, when they qualified for the final round of 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup qualification (UEFA).
Since the season 2012-13, Montenegrin women's football clubs are playing in UEFA competitions. Until now, every season, one team from Montenegrin Women's League is participating in European football cups.
ŽFK Budućnost is a women's football club from Podgorica, Montenegro, founded in 2005. Until 2016, the team was known as ŽFK Palma. It plays in the Montenegrin Women's League. It is the oldest women's football club in Montenegro. Under the name ŽFK Palma, they won two champion titles in Montenegrin Women's League. ŽFK Budućnost is a part of Budućnost Podgorica sports society.
