The Ligai Olii Tojikiston or Tajikistan Higher League is the top division of professional football in Tajikistan. It is part of the Tajikistan Football League Organization and Tajikistan Football Federation.
The 2011 Tajik League was the 20th season of Tajik League, the Tajikistan Football Federation's top division of association football. Istiklol retained the Championship they won the previous season.
In the 2012 season of the Tajik League, 13 teams participated. Khosilot, Istaravshan, and Zarafshon, were newly promoted, while Shodmon Ghissar withdrew from the competition. There was a limit of eight foreign players per team, with up to five on the field at a particular time. Only Parvoz Bobojon Ghafurov had the maximum of eight foreign footballers.
The 2014 Tajik League is the 23rd season of Tajik League, the Tajikistan Football Federation's top division of association football. Ravshan Kulob are the defending champions, having won the previous season. The season started on 12 April 2014.
The FC Istiklol 2014 season was Istiklol's sixth Tajik League season. They won the League for the third time, whilst also winning the Supercup and defending their Tajik Cup title. Mubin Ergashev was appointed the club's new manager 13 January 2014, guiding the team to an undefeated season.
