The 2014 Indian Super League finals were the first edition of the finals series that takes place after the Indian Super League regular season. The tournament began on 13 December and culminated on 20 December, with the first ever ISL final. [1]

Indian Super League

The Indian Super League (ISL) is one of the men's top division football competition in India, the other being the I-League. For sponsorship reasons, the competition is officially known as the Hero Indian Super League. The competition is contested by 10 teams and will run from September to March during the 2018–19 season.

The 2014Indian Super League Final was an association football match between the Kerala Blasters and ATK played on 20 December 2014, at the DY Patil Stadium in Navi Mumbai. The match was the final match to determine the inaugural champion of the Indian Super League for the 2014 season.

Mohammed Rafique is an Indian footballer who plays as a Central midfielder for Mumbai City in the ISL.

Format

After a fourteen game regular season, the top four teams in the table qualify for the finals. [3] The first place team at the end of the regular season played the fourth place team while the second place team took on the third. The semi-final round was played over two-legs while the final is played over one leg at a neutral venue. [3]

FC Goa is an Indian professional football club based in Goa that competes in the Indian Super League under license from All India Football Federation (AIFF). The club was launched on 26 August 2014 and founded by Dattaraj Salgaocar and Shrinivas Dempo. The team is owned by Venugopal Dhoot, Jaydev Mody and Virat Kohli. It represents Goa, the only state or union territory to declare football as its official sport. The logo represents Goa's state animal the Gaur. While the colours blue and orange symbolizes the Goan coastline and sunrise.

The 2016 Indian Super League Final was a football match between ATK and Kerala Blasters on 18 December 2016 at the Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Kochi, Kerala. It was the final match of the 2016 Indian Super League season, the third season of the Indian Super League. The match was the second time these two teams played against each other in the Indian Super League final, the previous one was when both sides met in the inaugural 2014 final. ATK won that final 1–0.

The 2017–18 Indian Super League season was the fourth season of the Indian Super League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues, since its establishment in 2013. The regular season started on 17 November 2017 and ended on 4 March 2018, The finals began on 7 March 2018, concluding with the final on 17 March 2018. ATK were the defending champions from the 2016 season, however they could not advance to the playoffs. Chennaiyin won their second Indian Super League title by defeating Bengaluru 3–2 in the final.

The 2017–18 Youth League U18 was the eighth season of the Indian Youth League U18 and the third season of the competition as an under-18 one. AIFF announced that the zonal rounds for the league that started from 20 November 2017 in Chennai, Maharashtra, Kolkata and Delhi. AIFF Elite Academy were three-time defending champions, but did not participate in the tournament. Shillong Lajong won their first title by defeating Kerala Blasters 2–0 in the final on 26 May 2018.

The 2017–18 Indian Super League playoffs was fourth playoffs series in the Indian Super League, one of the top Indian professional football leagues. The playoffs began on 7 March 2018 and concluded with the final on 17 March 2018 in Bangalore.
