The FAO Football League (FFL) or Odisha First Division League is the second highest state level football league in Odisha following FAO Super Cup. The FAO Football League (FFL) is organised every year by the Football Association of Odisha (FAO), the official football governing body of Odisha, India. [1]
Odisha is one of the 29 states of India. Located in eastern India, it is surrounded by the states of West Bengal to the north-east, Jharkhand to the north, Chhattisgarh to the west and north-west, and Andhra Pradesh to the south. Odisha has 485 kilometres (301 mi) of coastline along the Bay of Bengal on its east, from Balasore to Ganjam. It is the 9th largest state by area, and the 11th largest by population. The state also has the third largest population of Scheduled Tribes in India. Odia is the official and most widely spoken language, spoken by 36.6 million according to the 2016 Census.
Football Association of Odisha, also simply known as the FAO, is the state governing body of football in Odisha, India. The Odisha Men's Football Team and Odisha Women's Football Team is administrated by the Football Association of Odisha. It is affiliated with the All India Football Federation, the national administrating body for football in India.

The FAO Football League was brought up as Siddhartha Odisha First Division League in the year 2010 as Odisha's premier level football league. The Football Association of Odisha introduced the league system to provide the footballing talents of the state, a platform, to showcase their abilities. The league system continued with the same format for seven years, until it got its much needed revamp in 2018.
In a total revamp of the league, the FAO Football league was converted from premier league of the state to second highest level footballing league in the year 2018 as the premier state level football league was introduced by the Football Association of Odisha. The league system currently is a three-tier system consisting of Diamond, Gold' and Silver leagues. The top four teams of the Diamond League, the top three teams of Gold League and the winners of Silver League would be promoted to the FAO Super cup i.e. the premier level football league in Odisha. The Odisha Police, abbreviated as either OP or OPS, is the law enforcement agency for the state of Odisha in India. It is headquartered in Cuttack, the former capital of Odisha. The sanctioned personnel strength of Odisha Police is 72,145; comprising women as one-third of it total sanctioned strength in the directly recruited posts of civil constable, sub-inspector and deputy superintendent of police. This feat makes it one of the foremost in that aspect among the police services of India.

The iconic Barabati Stadium is an Indian sports stadium located in Cuttack, Odisha. It is a regular venue for international cricket and is the home ground of Odisha cricket team. The stadium is owned and operated by the Odisha Cricket Association. It is also used for Association Football. It hosts Santosh Trophy national football tournament and the state's Odisha First Division League football matches. The Barabati Stadium is one of the oldest grounds in India, having hosted several touring sides – including the MCC, the West Indies team and the Australians - before it hosted its first international match.
The Football Association of Odisha in May 2018, finalized the overall budget to 1,000,000 Indian Rupees. The governing body will spend 605,000 Indian Rupees towards the prize money. [4] The champions of the Diamond League are awarded with a prize money of 100,000 Indian Rupees; the champions of the Gold League are awarded 75,000 Indian Rupees and the champions of the Silver League are awarded 50,000 Indian Rupees, as per the decisive meeting conducted by the Football Association of Odisha.
