The 2014 Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer season was the 24th season of men's varsity soccer in the conference. The defending regular season champion was Missouri State, and the defending postseason champion was Bradley. [1]

The Missouri Valley Conference men's soccer tournament was hosted by Bradley on November 12, 14, and 16. [2] SIUE won the tourney title and the automatic bid to the 2014 NCAA Division I Men's Soccer Championship with a 1–0 victory over Missouri State in the second extra time period. [3] [4]
In the NCAA Tournament, the SIUE Cougars defeated Northwestern 1–0 in Evanston before falling in the second round to #15 seed California 0–1 in Berkeley. [5]

The SIU Edwardsville Cougars men's soccer team represents Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (SIUE) in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) of NCAA Division I soccer. The Cougars play their home matches on Bob Guelker Field at Ralph Korte Stadium located in the southwest corner of the SIUE campus in Edwardsville, Illinois.

The tournament has been held every year since the MVC began men's soccer competition in 1991. It is a single-elimination tournament and seeding is based on regular season conference records. The winner, declared conference champion, receives the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA Division I men's soccer championship.

The 2015–16 Northern Iowa Panthers men's basketball team represented the University of Northern Iowa during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Panthers, led by tenth year head coach Ben Jacobson, played their home games at the McLeod Center and were members of the Missouri Valley Conference. They finished the 23–13, 11–7 in Missouri Valley play to finish in a tie for fourth place. The Panthers defeated Southern Illinois, Wichita State, and Evansville to win the Missouri Valley tournament and earn the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. As a No. 11 seed, they defeated Texas in the first round to advance to the second round, where they lost to the Texas A&M Aggies in double overtime after suffering the greatest collapse in NCAA Tournament history, blowing a 12 point lead with 35 seconds left in regulation.

The 2017–18 Loyola Ramblers men's basketball team represented Loyola University Chicago during the 2017–18 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Ramblers, led by seventh-year head coach Porter Moser, played their home games at the Joseph J. Gentile Arena in Chicago. They were members of the Missouri Valley Conference. With a win against Evansville on February 18, 2018, Loyola clinched at least a share of its first-ever Missouri Valley Conference regular season championship. With a win over Southern Illinois on February 21, the Ramblers clinched the outright MVC championship. The Ramblers defeated Northern Iowa, Bradley, and Illinois State to win the MVC tournament. As a result, the Ramblers received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament. As the No. 11 seed in the South Region, they upset No. 6-seeded Miami (FL) on a last second three-pointer. In the Second Round, they defeated No. 3-seeded Tennessee to earn the school's first trip to the Sweet Sixteen since 1985. They then defeated Nevada in the Sweet Sixteen and Kansas State in the Elite Eight to advance to the Final Four for the first time since 1963. Their Cinderella run ended with a loss to the eventual runner-up Michigan in the national semifinal.
The 2018–19 Missouri Valley Conference men's basketball season began with practices in October 2018, followed by the start of the 2018–19 NCAA Division I men's basketball season on November 6, 2018. Conference play began in late December 2018 and concluded in March with the Missouri Valley Conference tournament at Enterprise Center in St. Louis, Missouri.

As a regular season conference champion who did not win their tournament championship, the Ramblers received an automatic bid to the National Invitation Tournament as the No. 7 seed in the TCU bracket. There they lost in the first round to Creighton.

The six-team single-elimination tournament consisted of three rounds based on seeding from regular season conference play. The defending champions were the Missouri State Lady Bears, but they were eliminated from the 2018 tournament with a 1–0 loss to the Illinois State Redbirds in the opening round. The Loyola won the tournament with a 3–2 win over Drake in the final. The conference tournament title was the first for the Loyloa women's soccer program and the first for head coach Barry Bimbi.

The 2019 season was Jon Leamy's 28th year as head coach for the program.

The defending champions were the Loyola Ramblers, who successfully defended their title by defeating Evansville 4–0 in the final. The conference tournament title was the fourth for the Loyloa women's soccer program, all of which have come under head coach Barry Bimbi. The championship was also the fourth in a row for the Loyola program. As tournament champions, Loyola earned the Missouri Valley's automatic berth into the 2021 NCAA Division I Women's Soccer Tournament.
