March 16 – Serbian parliamentary election, 2014. Voters in Serbia go to the polls for an early parliamentary election. The centre-right SNS is reported to be receiving around 50% of the popular vote.

October

On October 16, 2014, a military parade by the Serbian Army was held in front of more than 100,000 spectators for the 70th anniversary of the Soviet Red Army liberating city of Belgrade from Nazi Germany. The parade was also part of Russian president Vladimir Putin's official visit. Besides Putin who was the parade's centerpiece guest, the main stand featured Serbian dignitaries, president Tomislav Nikolić and prime minister Aleksandar Vučić as well as Republika Srpska president Milorad Dodik and Republika Srpska prime minister Željka Cvijanović.

Serbia v Albania (UEFA Euro 2016 qualifying) - the match was interrupted and ultimately cancelled after several instances of hooliganism from both sides, including Serbian fans chanting "Death to Albanians", throwing flares and other objects onto the pitch, and a drone flying an Albanian nationalist banner over the field.^[3]

Odbojkaški klub Partizan commonly known as OK Partizan, is a volleyball club from Belgrade, Serbia. OK Partizan is a part of JSD Partizan. The club formed in 1946. In its history, Partizan won 12 national championships, 9 cups and 1 supercup. The women club formed in 1950. In its history, it won 9 national championships, 2 cups and 2 supercups. The female team ceased to exist in 1972. but was re-established in 2016. One of the best volleyball players in the world, Ivan Miljković, started his professional career with OK Partizan.

Omladinski košarkaški klub Beograd, commonly referred to as OKK Beograd, is a men's professional basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia. They are currently competing in the Basketball League of Serbia. It is part of the multi-sports Belgrade-based sport club OSD Beograd. The club is the league affiliate of Mega Basket.

VK Crvena zvezda is a professional water polo club based in Belgrade, Serbia. It is part of the SD Crvena Zvezda sports society. As of 2023–24 season, it competes in the Serbian League and Regional League A1.

We Will Be the World Champions is a 2015 Serbian sports drama film directed by Darko Bajić. It was one of six films shortlisted by Serbia to be their submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 88th Academy Awards, but lost out to Enclave. The film is based on the true story of the Yugoslavia national basketball team who won the 1970 FIBA World Championship.

KK Crvena zvezda is a men's professional basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia. Crvena zvezda is a part of the Adriatic Basketball Association and competes domestically in the ABA League and the Serbian League. The Zvezda is regarded as one of the most successful clubs in Serbia history; their squads have won 21 National League championships, including in 10-in-a-row and current 6-in-a-row sequences. They have played in three different National Leagues since 1945, including the Yugoslav First Federal League (1945–1992), the First League of Serbia and Montenegro (1992–2006) and the Serbian League. They have also won ten National Cup titles, five Adriatic League Championships, one Adriatic Supercup, and one FIBA Saporta Cup (1974). The team play domestic home matches in the Aleksandar Nikolić Hall, and the EuroLeague or EuroCup home matches in Štark Arena.

KK Crvena zvezda is a men's professional basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia, which has youth system teams, cadets (under-16) and juniors. The U18 and U19 teams play in the RODA Junior Basketball League of Serbia and the Junior Adriatic League. They have won a Euroleague Basketball Next Generation Tournament. The U16 team plays in the Triglav Cadet Basketball League of Serbia.

The Crvena Zvezda–Partizan basketball rivalry, commonly referred as the Eternal derby, is an Adriatic League, Serbian League, and Belgrade-based rivalry between Crvena zvezda and Partizan. These two men's basketball clubs are the biggest and most popular clubs in Serbia. The two clubs both play their home games at Aleksandar Nikolić Hall or Štark Arena in Belgrade. The rivalry started immediately after the creation of the two clubs in 1945 and the two clubs have been dominant in domestic basketball since then. It is present in a number of different sports but the most intense matches are in football sections of both clubs.
