The 2015 Santosh Trophy is the 69th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main state competition in Indian football. 33 teams in total from around India entered the competition. Only 10 teams competed in the competition proper after going through the qualifiers. The tournament proper began on 1 March and will conclude with the final on 15 March. [1]

The 57th Santosh Trophy was played from 1 November 2001 till 17 November 2001 in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The Santosh Trophy is an annual Indian football tournament which is contested by states and government institutions. The first winners were Bengal, who also lead the all-time winners list with 31 titles till date. The 58th Santosh Trophy was held in Mumbai, Maharashtra. The 65th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2010-11 was held in Assam, India, 6–30 May 2011. 31 teams were divided into eight clusters with last year's semi-finalists directly finding their place in the Groups Quarterfinal round.

The 66th Santosh Trophy 2012 was held in Odisha from 11 May 2012 to 28 May 2012.

The 2014 Santosh Trophy was the 68th edition of the Santosh Trophy, the main state competition in Indian football. The tournament was held in two phases. The final phase was held in Siliguri, West Bengal between 24 February and 9 March 2014. The zone competitions were held between January 26 and February 4, 2014. In the finals, played at Kanchenjunga Stadium, Siliguri, debutant Mizoram beat the Railways 3–0 to clinch the trophy, and the Rs 500,000 prize money, while the runners up Railways received Rs. 300,000.
