The 2015 Yuen Long District Council election was held on 22 November 2011 to elect all 35 elected members to the 41-member Yuen Long District Council. [1]
Yuen Long District Council is the district council for the Yuen Long District in Hong Kong. It is one of 18 district councils. Yuen Long District currently consists of 41 members, of which the district is divided into 35 constituencies, electing a total of 35 with 6 ex officio members who are the Shap Pat Heung, San Tin, Ha Tsuen, Kam Tin, Ping Shan and Pat Heung rural committee chairmen. The latest election was held on 22 November 2015.

The Democratic Alliance, formerly called Yuen Long Tin Shui Wai Democratic Alliance, is a small pro-democracy pro-Taiwan political group in Hong Kong. The current chairman of the alliance is Johnny Mak Ip-sing, who is also a member of Yuen Long District Council.
The Hong Kong local elections are elections in Hong Kong for the members of District Councils. First held in 1982, the elections are held at 4-year intervals when the 18 district councils, totalling 412 elected members require renewal. The last election was on 22 November 2015. The elections are conducted by simple plurality, with an average constituency having a population of around 17,000 people. The councils range from 11 to 37 elected members, depending on that district's population. The Chief Executive may appoint up to a prescribed number of members to each council, totalling 102. The councils in the New Territories also have 27 ex officio members who are chairpersons of rural committees.

He is a member of Democratic Alliance for the Betterment of Hong Kong, a pro-Beijing party in Hong Kong and the president of the New Territories Association of Societies.
Zachary Wong Wai-yin is a Yuen Long District Councillor for the Meeting Point and later Democratic Party and former member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong.
Nelson Wong Sing-chi is a Hong Kong politician and social worker. He had been member of the Legislative Council of Hong Kong between 2000–04 and 2008–12. He was the founding member of the Democratic Party before he was expelled in 2015 for his support in the government's constitutional reform proposals. He was also briefly a founding member of the Third Side, a centrist political party.
