The 2015–16 CEV Challenge Cup was the 36th edition of the CEV Challenge Cup tournament, the former CEV Cup. [1]
This edition of the CEV Challenge Cup was historic one since a team from Kosovo was invited for the first time to take part in a CEV competition - the Kosovo's champions Drenica R&Rukolli Skenderaj. [2] Italian club Calzedonia Verona beat Russian Fakel Novy Urengoy in the finale. [3] American outside hitter Taylor Sander received individual award for the Most Valuable Player of the tournament.

The European Volleyball Confederation is the continental governing body for the sports of indoor volleyball, beach volleyball, and snow volleyball in Europe. Its headquarters is located in Luxembourg City, Luxembourg.
Andrea Giani is an Italian professional volleyball coach and former player who scored numerous successes in the 1990s, including three World Championships with his national team. He is considered one of the best volleyball players ever. He was an all-rounder able to play both as outside hitter and as middle blocker, but he played several times as opposite too.
Uroš Kovačević is a Serbian professional volleyball player. He is a member of the Serbia national team. The two–time European Champion, and the 2016 World League winner. At the professional club level, he plays for Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie.
Saša Starović is a Serbian volleyball player, a member of Serbia men's national volleyball team and French club Tourcoing Lille Métropole, a participant of the Olympic Games, European Champion 2011, bronze medalist of World Championship 2010, medalist of the European Championship and the World League.
