The 2016 Manly Warringah Sea Eagles season was the 67th in the club's history. The year also represented the 70th anniversary of the Manly Warringah Sea Eagles since their entry into the then New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership in 1947.

Contents

The 2016 Sea Eagles will be coached by rookie coach, former Australian international Trent Barrett. The team captain is Jamie Lyon with Brett Stewart and Daly Cherry-Evans named as vice-captains. The club will compete in the National Rugby League's 2016 Telstra Premiership.

The 2008 Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks season was the 42nd in the club's history. Coached by Ricky Stuart and captained by Paul Gallen and Greg Bird, they competed in the National Rugby League's 2008 Telstra Premiership, finishing the regular season 3rd to qualify for the finals. They are competing in the National Rugby League's 2011 Telstra Cup Premiership under coach Jim Dymock after Kevin Moore stepped down from the position on 14 July 2011. The Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs finished the regular season in 9th place, failing to qualify for the finals.

The Sydney Roosters opened their 2013 season against their long-time rivals the South Sydney Rabbitohs. In 2013, Trent Robinson coached the Sydney Roosters. Anthony Minichiello captained the team in 2013 along with four vice-captains in Boyd Cordner, Jake Friend, Mitchell Pearce and Jared Waerea-Hargreaves. The Sydney Roosters completed their 2013 regular season as Minor Premiers, defeating the South Sydney Rabbitohs 24 – 12. The Sydney Roosters were crowned Premiers by defeating the Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles 26 – 18 in the 2013 NRL Grand Final.

The 2013 St. George Illawarra Dragons season was the 15th in the joint venture club's history. Addin Fonua-Blake is a professional rugby league footballer who plays as a prop for the New Zealand Warriors in the National Rugby League (NRL). He has played for both Tonga and New Zealand at international level.

The 2017 NRL season was the 110th season of professional rugby league in Australia and the 20th season run by the National Rugby League. The season started in New Zealand with the annual Auckland Nines, and was followed by the All Stars Match, which was played at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle, and the World Club Series. It marked the last time that the Anzac Test and City vs. Country representative matches were played.

The 2018 Wests Tigers season was the 19th in the Wests Tigers's history. They completed the NRL's 2018 Telstra Premiership season in ninth place and did not qualify for the finals.

The 2019 Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles season was the 70th in the club's history since their entry into the then New South Wales Rugby Football League premiership in 1947. The team came sixth in the regular season and qualified for the finals where they beat the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks in an elimination final then lost to the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the semi-finals round.

The 2021 Manly-Warringah Sea Eagles Season was the 72nd in the club's history since their entry into the then New South Wales Rugby League premiership in 1947. Des Hasler coached the team for the third consecutive year and eleventh overall at the club. Daly Cherry-Evans captained the club for the fifth consecutive year.
