The 2016–17 Clemson Tigers men's basketball team represented Clemson University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by sixth-year head coach Brad Brownell, the Tigers played their home games at Littlejohn Coliseum in Clemson, South Carolina after a one-year of renovation, as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 17–16, 6–12 in ACC play to finish in 12th place. They defeated NC State in the first round of the ACC tournament to advance to the second round where they lost to Duke. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Oakland.
The Tigers finished the 2015–16 season 17–14, 10–8 in ACC play to finish in a tie for seventh place. They lost in the second round of the ACC tournament to Georgia Tech.

The Clemson Tigers men's basketball team is a college basketball program that represents Clemson University and competes in the NCAA Division I. Clemson is a founding member of the Atlantic Coast Conference.
The Florida State Seminoles men's basketball team represents Florida State University in the intercollegiate sport of basketball. The Seminoles compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I and the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC).
The 2013–14 Clemson Tigers men's basketball team represented Clemson University during the 2013–14 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. Led by fourth year head coach Brad Brownell, the Tigers played their home games at Littlejohn Coliseum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 23–13, 10–8 in ACC play to finish in sixth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament where they lost to Duke. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they defeated Georgia State, Illinois and Belmont to advance to the semifinals where they lost to SMU.

They finished the season 25–10, 11–7 in ACC play to finish in four-way tie for third place. They defeated Boston College in the quarterfinals of the ACC tournament before losing in the semifinals to Virginia. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated New Mexico State and Auburn to advance to the Sweet Sixteen where they lost to Kansas. The Tigers 25 wins tied the most in program history and their 11 conference wins were the most in program history at the time.

The Eagles, led by fourth-year head coach Jim Christian, played their home games at the Conte Forum as members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They finished the season 19–16, 7–11 in ACC play to finish in 12th place. In the ACC tournament, they defeated Georgia Tech and NC State before losing in the quarterfinals to Clemson. They received an invitation to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Western Kentucky.
