Cape Verde or Cabo Verde, officially the Republic of Cabo Verde, is an island country spanning an archipelago of 10 volcanic islands in the central Atlantic Ocean. It forms part of the Macaronesia ecoregion, along with the Azores, Canary Islands, Madeira, and the Savage Isles. In ancient times these islands were referred to as "the Islands of the Blessed" or the "Fortunate Isles". Located 570 kilometres (350 mi) west of the Cape Verde Peninsula off the coast of Northwest Africa, the islands cover a combined area of slightly over 4,000 square kilometres (1,500 sq mi).
Originally a five club season, again, it would contain ten rounds with eight matches each club (total of twenty) and with a club having two bye weeks, instead as two clubs (São Pedro Apóstolo and Irmãos Unidos) withdrew due to financial and partly scheduling reasons, it was reduced to three clubs and had nine rounds by a match each week (total of nine) with a bye week every three weeks for a club. It was rescheduled around November.
A total of 30 goals were scored with a 3+ average per match.
UD Janela was relegated last season after finished last place and participated for the second time in the Second Division with their last participation in the 2013-14 season.
Much of the season was led by Solpontense.
