The 2017–18 Tchadense season were in the island division of football (soccer). [1]

Santiago South Premier Division

Tchadense started off the 2017–18 season with an 0–3 win over Desportivo and was third place. Tchadense again defeated Praia's one of historically top five clubs. the four that remain and was another win over Travadores with the score 4–1. At round 7, Tchadense had 10 points, shared with Desportivo, Tchadense scored 8 goals and that club scored only five. Tchadense currently has fourth straight losses, their first, third and fourth were to the city's mighty clubs of Sporting, Académica and Boavista. Tchadense was 7th up to the 12th round when that position was taken by Travadores and became 8th. Their point totals were shared with AD Ribeira Grande based west of the city and Benfica Praia with 10 points.

Another win over Desportivo was made on January 21 and luckily got back their 7th position and got a chance to make another successful season as they did last season. Tchadense shared its 13 points with Ribeira Grande.. Tchadense defeated Eugênio Lima whose club was risking a possible relegation in the following season, the score was 3–1 and pushed their position to 5th place ahead of Desportivo's and had 16 points shared with Ribeira Grande, Desportivo and ADESBA, Tchadense had 16 goals scored and conceded. After two straight wins, they suffered another loss, their 5th in the season as they lost to Bairro and was the only club as of the 14th round having 16 points, also they lost three positions and became 8th. Tchadense made a back to back win as they defeated Benfica Praia and their positions risen to 6th, their point totals shared again but only with ADESBA and Ribeira Grande.

Associação Desportiva do Bairro Craveiro Lopes is a multisport club that had played in the Santiago Island South Zone League in Cape Verde. It is based in the capital city of Praia in the island of Santiago and plays in the stadium with a capacity of 8,000 The club never won a championship title, they have two cup titles. Its sports include football (soccer), basketball, futsal, similar to arena football and volleyball. Its current president Carlos Sena Teixeira and its manager is Daniel Cardoso who came in February 2017. Its nickname is canarinha which is Portuguese for the little canary.

Their third second straight win was made on February 18 at the 16th round as they defeated the powerful Celtic with only 0–1 and also prevented Celtic's attempted regional title win, and currently had 22 points that Desportivo and ADESBA also has, Tchadense scored 20 goals and conceded 18 goals, eight less than Bairro which remained to be 6th.

At the next round, Tchadense made another win, a 2–0 victory over newcomer Tira Chapéu and became 25th, with 25 points, beating Desportivo's position.

Tchadense failed to reach a point record as they lost to Travadores 2–1 on March 1 and had a ten point difference behind Sporting. Continuing to remain, Tchadense had a possibility of reaching a point record next round with just tying it for the Premier Division, their wins matched as to that of last season, they had 23 goals, two less than their totals made last season. Rarely heard, Tchadense made their unpredictable win over almighty Sporting on March 11 with the score 4–2 and had the same points to their last season with 28, almost reaching a record, what it reached in club records were their 8 wins and 27 goals at the Premier Division, the second tier competition, they were still fifth with seven points less than Sporting Praia. Tchadense made their second straight win with an 0–1 away win over Ribeira Grande and a club record for Tchadense, 9 wins and 28 goals at the second tier competition.

CD Travadores association football club

Clube Desportivo Travadores is a football club in the Santiago South Premier Division in Cape Verde and are one of the unrelegated clubs of the Premier Division. It is based in the capital city of Praia, on the island of Santiago, and plays in a stadium with a capacity of 8,000. It is affiliated with S.L. Benfica and was the first Benfica affiliate in Cape Verde and the western part of West Africa. Its nicknames are indios and águias

Tchadense met Académica in the club's competition which was difficult as Tchadense is less powerful, they lost 0–1 in the 21st round, another loss in three matches. Nonetheless, Tchadense finished fifth at the final round. Their season's final match was with Boavista, it was another difficult match as the final score was a 4–1 loss and finished fifth. Tchadense's new club records at the second tier competition was their nine wins and 29 goals.

Santiago South Cup

Bairro started off the cup competition at the first round on November 29, the result was a loss to Relâmpago, Tchadense's first and only challenge with that club. Their next challenge with Relâmpago will be at the 2018-19 Santiago South Premier Division as that club is Second Division champions this season.
