Group B of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification tournament was one of the 13 groups to decide the teams which qualify for the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations finals tournament. The group consisted of four teams: DR Congo, Angola, Central African Republic, and Madagascar. [1]

2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification

The 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualification matches were organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF) to decide the participating teams of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations, the 31st edition of the international men's football championship of Africa. A total of 16 teams qualified to play in the final tournament, including Gabon who qualified automatically as hosts.

The Democratic Republic of the Congo national football team is the national team of the Democratic Republic of the Congo and is controlled by the Congolese Association Football Federation. They are nicknamed the Leopards.

The Angola national football team, nicknamed Palancas Negras , is the national team of Angola and is controlled by the Angolan Football Federation. Angola reached the 45th place in the FIFA Rankings in July 2002. Their greatest accomplishment was qualifying for the 2006 World Cup, as this was their first appearance on the World Cup finals stage.

The teams played against each other home-and-away in a round-robin format, between June 2015 and September 2016. [2]

A round-robin tournament is a competition in which each contestant meets all other contestants in turn. A round-robin contrasts with an elimination tournament, in which participants are eliminated after a certain number of losses.
