The 2017 Kenyan Premier League (known as the SportPesa Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 14th season of the Kenyan Premier League since it began in 2003, and the 54th season of top-division football in Kenya since 1963. It began on 11 March and is scheduled to end on 18 November. [1] Tusker were the defending champions, going into the season on the back of their 11th league title.

The Kenyan Premier League was expanded to 18 teams, of which 14 returned from the 2016 season. Kariobangi Sharks, Nakumatt, Nzoia Sugar (formerly Nzoia United) and Zoo Kericho were promoted from the second-tier National Super League.

On 21 October 2017, Gor Mahia secured their record 16th league title with four games to spare after beating Ulinzi Stars 3–1 at the Kericho Green Stadium. [2]

The Kenyan Premier League (KPL), officially known as the FKF Premier League and as the BetKing Premier League (BPL) for sponsorship reasons, is a professional league for men's association football clubs in Kenya. Standing at the top of the Kenyan football league system, the league was formed in 1963 under the Kenya Football Federation but is now controlled by the Football Kenya Federation. In 2003 two different cup competition's were held in Kenya because the 4 semi-finalists of the President's Cup withdrew from the KFF and continued with their "Transparency Cup" while the KFF continued their tournament with already eliminated clubs. The 2020 edition was halted due to the COVID-19 pandemic, just an year after Betway betting firm were announced as the title sponsors

The 2012 KPL Top 8 Cup was the second edition of the football tournament which ran from 14 March to 19 August 2012. It was contested by the top 8 teams of the 2011 Kenyan Premier League season: A.F.C. Leopards, Chemelil Sugar, Gor Mahia, Rangers, Sofapaka, Sony Sugar, Tusker and Ulinzi Stars.

The 2013 Kenyan Premier League was the tenth season of the Kenyan Premier League since it began in 2003, marking a decade of its existence. It was also the Golden Jubilee season of top division football in Kenya since 1963. It began on 24 February 2013 and ended on 9 November 2013. The two teams will face each other at the 2017 Kenyan Super Cup.

Noah Abich is a Kenyan footballer who currently plays for Kenyan National Super League side Nairobi City Stars from April 2019.

The 2021 FKF President's Cup is the 65th edition of the top knockout tournament in Kenyan football. It is sponsored by Betway and known as the Betway Shield Cup for sponsorship purposes. The winner qualifies for the 2021–22 CAF Confederation Cup Preliminary round.

The 2021–22 FKF Premier League was the 19th season of Kenyan Premier League since it began in 2003, and the 59th season of top-division football in Kenya since 1963.
