Group 5 of the 2017 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying competition consisted of six teams: Denmark, Romania, Armenia, Wales, Bulgaria, and Luxembourg. The composition of the nine groups in the qualifying group stage was decided by the draw held on 5 February 2015. [1]

Contents

The group was played in home-and-away round-robin format. The group winners qualified directly for the final tournament, while the runners-up advanced to the play-offs if they were one of the four best runners-up among all nine groups (not counting results against the sixth-placed team). [2]

Stadion Beroe

Stadion Beroe is a multi-purpose stadium in Stara Zagora, Bulgaria. It is located in the north-western part of the city, near the park Ayazmoto. Currently, the venue is used for football matches and athletic competitions and is also the home ground of the local football club PFC Beroe Stara Zagora. The 1972–73 UEFA Cup was won by Liverpool against Borussia Mönchengladbach which was played over two legs. The first leg was played at Anfield in Liverpool where Liverpool won the match 3–0. The second leg moved to Germany where Mönchengladbach won the match 2–0 for a final out come of 3–2 on aggregate.

2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship International football competition

The 2015 UEFA European Under-17 Championship was the 14th edition of the UEFA European Under-17 Championship, the annual European youth football competition contested by the men's under-17 national teams of the member associations of UEFA. Bulgaria hosted the tournament. The finals featured 16 teams for the first time since 2002, as the number of teams was increased from eight in the previous tournament. Players born on or after 1 January 1998 were eligible to participate in this competition.

The teams competing in Group 2 of the 2015 UEFA European Under-21 Championships qualifying competition were Estonia, Denmark, Andorra, Slovenia, Bulgaria and Russia.

The qualifying phase of the 2013–14 UEFA Europa League were played from 2 July to 8 August, to define 29 entrants in the competition's play-off round, who would then in turn compete for a place in the group stage.

The 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship elite round was the second round of qualification for the 2014 UEFA European Under-19 Championship final tournament.
