The 2011 World Wheelchair Curling Championship was held in Prague, Czech Republic from February 22 - March 1, 2011. Ten mixed gender teams competed for four playoff spots. In the final, Canada's Jim Armstrong defeated Scotland's Aileen Neilson in the final in 7 ends. Teams also gained qualification points from this event for the 2014 Winter Paralympic Games in Sochi.

The 2010 Horizon Laser Vision Center Classic was held from October 1 to October 4 at the Tartan Curling Club in Regina, Saskatchewan. The cash purse of the event was CAD$16,000. The event was held in a round-robin format.

The 2013 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held from November 15 to 24, 2012 at the Town of Mount Royal Curling Club in Mount Royal, Quebec. This edition marked the fiftieth edition of the Canadian Mixed Curling Championship and the third time that the province of Quebec has hosted the Canadian Mixed Championship. This edition also marked the first time that the qualifying round for relegated teams was implemented in the championship. In the final, Ontario, skipped by Cory Heggestad, defeated Nova Scotia, skipped by Brent MacDougall, with a score of 10–3 in eight ends. Heggestad and his team won their first Canadian Mixed title, and Ontario won its third title in the championships.

The 2013 Canadian Open of Curling was held from November 13 to 17 at Medicine Hat Arena in Medicine Hat, Alberta as part of the 2013–14 World Curling Tour. The 2017 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials were held from December 2 to 10 at the Canadian Tire Centre in Kanata, Ottawa, Ontario. The winners of the men's and women's events would represent Canada at the 2018 Winter Olympics.

The 2017 United States Olympic Curling Trials were held from November 11–18, 2017 at Baxter Arena in Omaha, Nebraska. Five teams qualified for the men's tournament and three teams qualified for the women's tournament. The winner of each tournament represented the United States at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang County, South Korea.

The 2018 Canadian Mixed Curling Championship was held from November 12 to 18, 2017 at the Swan River Curling Club in Swan River, Manitoba. The championship was won by the team from Ontario, who went on to represent Canada at the 2018 World Mixed Curling Championship.

The 2018 BOOST National was held from December 11 to 16 at the Conception Bay South Arena in Conception Bay South, Newfoundland and Labrador. This will be the fourth Grand Slam and second major of the 2018–19 curling season.

The 2019 Northern Ontario Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the Northern Ontario women's curling championship, was held January 30 to February 3 at the Nipigon Curling Club in Nipigon. The winning Krista McCarville team represented Northern Ontario at the 2019 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in Sydney, Nova Scotia.

The 2023 United States Senior Curling Championships were held from March 6 to 11, 2023 at the Granite Curling Club in Seattle, Washington. The men's and women's events were held in conjunction with each other. In the men's event final, Team Joel Larway defeated Team Mike Farbelow 4–3. In the women's event final, Team Margie Smith defeated Team Tracy Lawless 8–7. Both Team Larway and Team Smith went on to represent the United States at the 2023 World Senior Curling Championships in Gangneung, South Korea.
