The 2018-19 Bangladesh Championship League was 7th season of the Bangladesh Championship League since its establishment in 2012. A total of 11 teams will compete in the league. [1] The season started on 10 February 2019 [2] and ended on 24 May 2019. [3]
All matches were held at the BSSS Mostafa Kamal Stadium in Dhaka, Bangladesh.

The Dhaka Derby between Abahani Dhaka and Mohammedan SC is one of the league's most popular matches. The BPL superseded the Dhaka Premier Division League which had functioned as the top tier from 1948 to 2006.

The services team had previously played in the Senior Division Football League in 1998 – then the second tier of football. In recent times, Police FC became champions of the Second Division Football League in 2014 to get promotions to the First Division before making their debut in the Bangladesh Championship League in 2015. Police FC gained the promotion to Bangladesh Premier League for the very first time in the club's history by becoming champion of the 2018-19 Bangladesh Championship League.
Saif Sporting Club was an association football club based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Founded in 2016, the club competed in the Bangladesh Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi football, from 2017 to 2022. On 3 August 2022, the club owners announced that the club will temporarily withdraw from professional football due to insufficient commercial returns from it, days after the end of 2021–22 Bangladesh Premier League. They also finished third in the league, which is the best top tier league result of the club's history. The club played their homes games at Munshiganj Stadium in their final season.

The club currently competes in the Bangladesh Premier League, the top flight of Bangladeshi Football. Founded in 2013, the club debuted in Bangladesh Premier League during the 2018–19 season. The club is owned and managed by Bashundhara Group.
NoFel Sporting Club is a football team of Bangladesh, based in Noakhali. The current name NoFeL is an acronym for Noakhali, Feni & Lakhsmipur, which are the three districts the club represents. The club competes in the Bangladesh Championship League, the second tier of Bangladesh football.

The league would've commenced from 28 March 2020. On 16 March 2020, Bangladesh Football Federation suspended all competition, including this league, due to the coronavirus pandemic. On 20 May 2020, the Federation and Professional Football League Committee officially cancelled this season of the league.
