The 2019 European Indoor Archery Championships was the 17th edition of the European Indoor Archery Championships. The event was held in Samsun, Turkey from February 26 to March 2, 2019. [1] [2]

Yaşar Doğu was a renowned Turkish Wrestler, World and Olympic champion in Greco-Roman and Freestyle of Circassian descent.
The Turkey national rugby union team is a relatively recent creation, being started at the end of 2009. Turkey is currently a third-tier side. This form of competition was introduced following the success of the 2003 World Archery Championships in New York and the 2004 Summer Olympics with the intent of making the sport more popular and attractive to spectators, with the matches being held in 'spectacular' locations and the final matches being broadcast online. Yaşar Doğu Sport Hall is a multi-purpose indoor arena located in the Tekkeköy district of Samsun Province, Turkey. Named in honor of renowned Turkish sport wrestler Yaşar Doğu (1913–1961), the sports hall was opened end March 2013.

He has won medals at the World Youth Archery Championships, competed in the Archery World Cup and in the 2013 World Archery Championships he qualified 5th in the same event. He also competed in the men's team compound and mixed team compound event for Netherlands.

The 2023 European Indoor Archery Championships is the 19th edition of the European Indoor Archery Championships. The event will be held in Samsun, Turkey from February 13 to 18, 2023. A maximum number of three (3) athletes per country can be registered into each category and divisions of the event. This Competition will be organized following the WA and WAE competition rules in divisions Recurve, Compound and Barebow with both age categories of Senior Men and Women and Under 21 Men and Women.
