The 2018 Stockton Challenger was a professional tennis tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the third and fourth editions of the tournament and was part of the 2018 ATP Challenger Tour and the 2018 ITF Women's Circuit. It took place in Stockton, United States, on 1–7 October 2018.
Usue Maitane Arconada and Sofia Kenin were the defending champions, but chose not to participate this year.
Misaki Doi and Jil Teichmann were the defending champions, but Doi chose not to participate. Teichmann played alongside Madison Brengle, but they lost in the first round to Quinn Gleason and Luisa Stefani.
Choi Ji-hee and Han Na-lae were the defending champions, but lost in the quarterfinals to Laura Pigossi and Wang Yafan.
Olga Danilović and Tamara Zidanšek were the defending champions, but chose not to participate this year.
Quinn Gleason and Luisa Stefani were the defending champions, but Gleason chose to participate at the 2019 Henderson Tennis Open instead.

Robin Anderson and Jessika Ponchet were the defending champions when the event was held as an ITF W60 event in 2019, but Ponchet was unable to participate due to insufficient ranking. Anderson played alongside Erin Routliffe but lost in the first round to Kaitlyn Christian and Giuliana Olmos.
Daria Gavrilova and Ellen Perez were the defending champions but Gavrilova chose not to participate. Perez played alongside Storm Sanders but lost in the first round to Nicole Melichar and Demi Schuurs.
Defending champions Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Alexa Guarachi and Desirae Krawczyk in the final, 6–4, 7–5 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2020 French Open.
This was the first edition of the tournament. Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara won the title, defeating Hayley Carter and Luisa Stefani in the final, 7–6(7–5), 6–4.
Two-time defending champion Barbora Krejčíková and her partner Rajeev Ram defeated Samantha Stosur and Matthew Ebden in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 Australian Open. It was the pair's second major mixed doubles title as a team, after their first at the 2019 Australian Open. They saved a match point en route to the title, in the second round against Ena Shibahara and Ben McLachlan.
Nicole Melichar and Xu Yifan were the defending champions but Melichar chose not to participate. Xu partnered Yang Zhaoxuan, but they lost in the semifinals to Hayley Carter and Luisa Stefani.
Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová were the two-time defending champions, but they chose not to participate.
Shuko Aoyama and Ena Shibahara defeated Hayley Carter and Luisa Stefani in the final, 6–2, 7–5, to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2021 Miami Open. Aoyama and Shibahara's first WTA 1000 victory earned them their third title of the year and made them the first Japanese champions in Miami since Ai Sugiyama in 2008.
Paula Kania-Choduń and Katarzyna Piter were the defending champions but chose not to participate.
Nicole Melichar and Demi Schuurs were the defending champions ,but Schuurs chose not to participate. Melichar played alongside Vivian Heisen, but they lost in the semifinals to Alexa Guarachi and Desirae Krawczyk.
Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková were the defending champions from when the tournament was last held in 2019, but withdrew before the tournament began.
Desirae Krawczyk and Joe Salisbury defeated Giuliana Olmos and Marcelo Arévalo in the final, 7–5, 6–2 to win the mixed doubles tennis title at the 2021 US Open. By winning the title, Krawczyk and Salisbury received their third and second major mixed doubles title, respectively. Their victory together made Krawczyk the first player to win three consecutive mixed doubles major trophies since Mahesh Bhupathi in 2005 and 2006, and the seventh player in the Open Era to win three mixed doubles titles in a single season. Salisbury became the first man to win both the men's doubles and mixed doubles titles at the US Open in the same year since Bob Bryan in 2010.
