This article lists the squads for the 2020 Pinatar Cup, the inaugural edition of the Pinatar Cup. The cup consisted of a series of friendly games, and was held in Spain from 4 to 10 March 2020. The four national teams involved in the tournament registered a squad of 23 players.

Contents

The age listed for each player is on 4 March 2020, the first day of the tournament. The numbers of caps and goals listed for each player do not include any matches played after the start of tournament. The club listed is the club for which the player last played a competitive match prior to the tournament. The nationality for each club reflects the national association (not the league) to which the club is affiliated. A flag is included for coaches that are of a different nationality than their own national team.

Iceland

Coach: Jón Þór Hauksson

The squad was announced on 13 February 2020. [1] Milan-based Berglind Björg Þorvaldsdóttir withdrew from the squad due to coronavirus fears and was replaced by Sandra Jessen on 27 February 2020. [2] [3] Alexandra Jóhannsdóttir withdrew from the squad with injury and was replaced by Hildur Antonsdóttir on 28 February 2020. [4]

The Grindavík men's football team is the men's football department of the Ungmennafélag Grindavíkur multi-sport club. It is based in Grindavík in south-west Iceland, and currently plays in the Lengjudeildin, The second tier in Icelandic football.

Helena Ólafsdóttir is an Icelandic football manager and former player. A striker during her playing career, she is currently in her second spell as manager of the women's team at Valur in the Úrvalsdeild kvenna. A qualified sports teacher and personal trainer outside of football, Helena grew up in the town of Neskaupstaður before moving to Reykjavík aged 11. She started her career in the youth team at Víkingur Reykjavík before joining KR in the summer of 1986 and went on to score 55 goals in 64 league appearances for the club over the following five seasons. In 1992, she signed for ÍA and it was there that she won the first honours of her career as the side won both the Icelandic Women's Cup and the Icelandic Women's Super Cup that year. She went on to become one of the most successful female Icelandic footballers in history, winning four league titles and six cup winners' medals during her career.

Elísabet Gunnarsdóttir is an Icelandic football coach and former player: She managed Swedish Damallsvenskan club Kristianstads DFF. Elísabet was the head coach of the Icelandic Úrvalsdeild kvenna team Valur for five seasons from 2003 to 2008, during which her team won four league titles and one cup title. From 2009 to 2023, Elísabet was the manager of Kristianstads DFF in the Swedish Damallsvenskan.

She is the former head coach of Úrvalsdeild kvenna club Breiðablik and an assistant coach to the Icelandic women's national basketball team. As a player she won the Icelandic championship five times and the Icelandic Basketball Cup three times. She was named the Úrvalsdeild Domestic Player of the Year four times and is the leagues all-time leader in assists She was the third player to reach 4000 points in the Úrvalsdeild kvenna. and remains second all-time in total rebounds in the league.

Berglind Lára Gunnarsdóttir is an Icelandic basketball coach and former player who played 26 games for the Icelandic national basketball team. She spent her entire playing career with Snæfell where she won three straight national championships from 2014 to 2016 and the Icelandic Basketball Cup in 2016. In 2017, she was named to the Úrvalsdeild Domestic All-First Team.

Hildur Björg Kjartansdóttir is an Icelandic former basketball player. She was named the Icelandic Women's Basketball Player of the Year twice, in 2017 and 2018, and was a four time selection to the Úrvalsdeild Domestic All-First Team. During her career, she won the Icelandic championship three times and the Icelandic Cup once.

The 2019–20 Úrvalsdeild kvenna is the 63rd season of the Úrvalsdeild kvenna, the top tier women's basketball league on Iceland. The season started on 2 October 2019. On 13 March 2020 the season was postponed for at least four weeks due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country. On 18 March, the rest of the season was canceled. Grindavík was relegated and Valur was named divisional champions for having the best record at the time of the cancelation but no national champions would be named for the season.

On 7 October, the Icelandic Basketball Association postponed the season for two weeks do to another Coronavirus outbreak in Iceland. It concluded on 2 June 2021 with Valur winning their second title after beating Haukar 3–0 in the Úrvalsdeild finals.

This article lists the squads for the 2022 Pinatar Cup, the second edition of the Pinatar Cup. The cup consisted of a series of friendly games, and will be held in Spain from 16 to 22 February 2022. The eight national teams involved in the tournament registered a squad of 23 players.

Each national team will submit a squad of 23 players for UEFA Women's Euro 2022, three of whom must be goalkeepers. If a player is injured or ill severely enough to prevent their participation in the tournament before the team's first match, they can be replaced by another player. The squad list must be published no later than 10 days before the tournament's opening match.

This article lists the squads for the 2023 Pinatar Cup, the third edition of the Pinatar Cup. The tournament will consist of a series of friendly matches to be held in Spain from 15 to 21 February 2023.
