The 2020 Tacoma Defiance season was the club's sixth year of existence, formerly as Seattle Sounders FC 2, and their sixth season in the USL Championship, the second tier of the United States Soccer Pyramid. It was their third season in Tacoma, Washington. The Defiance are majority owned by Seattle Sounders FC.

The 2019 Tacoma Defiance season was the club's fifth year of existence, previously for the last four seasons as Seattle Sounders FC 2, and their fifth season in the USL Championship, the second tier of the United States Soccer Pyramid. It was the team's second season playing in the Tacoma, Washington. The Defiance are majority owned by Seattle Sounders FC.

The 2019 Phoenix Rising FC season was the club's sixth season in the USL Championship and their third as Rising FC. They are the defending Western Conference Champions.

The 2019 Orange County SC season was the club's ninth season of existence, and their ninth consecutive season in the United Soccer League Championship, the second tier of American soccer. Orange County were also scheduled to compete in the U.S. Open Cup.

It was the fourth season since the club was renamed from Seattle Sounders FC 2 and relocated to Tacoma, Washington. Defiance is majority owned by Seattle Sounders FC, a Major League Soccer team, and serves as their reserve and development squad.

The 2021 Seattle Sounders FC season was the club's thirty-eighth year of existence, and their thirteenth season in Major League Soccer, the top flight of American soccer. The team was under the management of Brian Schmetzer in his fifth full MLS season as head coach of the Sounders. Seattle were the reigning Western Conference champions and lost to Columbus Crew SC in the MLS Cup 3–0.

The 2021 Phoenix Rising FC season was the club's eighth season in the USL Championship and their fifth as Rising FC. They are the defending USL Championship Western Conference champions.
