The 10th Maya Awards took place from 24 to 26 March 2022 virtually to honor the achievement in Indonesian cinema released in 2021. [1]

Drama film Yuni received the most awards with seven, including Best Feature Film. [2] Other winners included Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash with five, Losmen Bu Broto with three, The Heartbreak Club and Invisible Hopes with two.

Winners and nominees

The nominations were announced on 26 February 2022 on the award's social media. [3] Action black comedy film Vengeance Is Mine, All Others Pay Cash led the nominations with eighteen, followed by Yuni with sixteen, and Losmen Bu Broto with fifteen. [4]

Dilan 1990 is a 2018 Indonesian coming of age romantic drama film. It is based on the novel Dilan: Dia adalah Dilanku Tahun 1990 by Pidi Baiq. The film stars Iqbaal Ramadhan and Vanesha Prescilla as the main roles, with some high-profile names in supporting, minor, or cameo roles; Farhan, Happy Salma, Adhisty Zara of idol group JKT48, and Ridwan Kamil, the then-Mayor of Bandung. The film has been watched by 6.3 million people. It is the best-selling Indonesian film of 2018 and the second best-selling Indonesian film of all time, just behind Warkop DKI Reborn: Jangkrik Boss! Suzzanna: Bernapas dalam Kubur is a 2018 Indonesian horror film directed by Rocky Soraya and Anggy Umbara and written by Bene Dion Rajagukguk. It is a remake to the 1981 film titled Sundelbolong directed by Sisworo Gautama Putra, and a homage to its star, "queen of Indonesian horror" Suzzanna.

The 39th Citra Awards, presented by the Indonesian Film Board and Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, honored the achievement in Indonesian cinema released from 1 October 2018 to 30 September 2019. The ceremony was held on 8 December 2019 at the Opus Ballroom, The Tribata, Jakarta, Indonesia, and presented by journalist Rory Asyari and announcer Melissa Karim.

The 42nd Indonesian Film Festival ceremony, presented by Indonesian Film Board and Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology, honored the achievement in Indonesian cinema released from 1 September 2021 to 31 August 2022. The ceremony was held on 22 November 2022 at the Jakarta Convention Center, Jakarta, Indonesia, and presented by actresses Cut Mini, Marsha Timothy, Prilly Latuconsina and Shenina Cinnamon.

Losmen Bu Broto is a 2021 drama film directed by Ifa Isfansyah and Eddie Cahyono, based on the 1980s television series Losmen. The film stars Maudy Koesnaedi as the title character, along with Mathias Muchus, Maudy Ayunda, Putri Marino, and Baskara Mahendra. It was released in Indonesian theatres on 18 November 2021.

The 11th Maya Awards took place on 19 April 2023 to honor the achievement in Indonesian cinema released in 2022.
