The 2021 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament will be held from May 27 through May 29 at The Ballpark at Jackson, a neutral venue in Jackson, Tennessee. The annual tournament determines the tournament champion of Division I Ohio Valley Conference in college baseball. The tournament champion will then earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. [2]

The 2009 NCAA Division I baseball season, play of college baseball in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level, began on February 20, 2009. The season progressed through the regular season, many conference tournaments and championship series, and concluded with the 2009 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2009 College World Series. The College World Series, which consisted of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament, was held in its annual location of Omaha, Nebraska at Rosenblatt Stadium. It concluded on June 24, 2009, with the final game of the best of three championship series. LSU defeated Texas two games to one to claim their sixth championship.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Ohio Valley University</span>

Ohio Valley University was a private Christian college located between Parkersburg and Vienna in West Virginia. Founded in 1958, the school integrated education with teachings of the Christian faith. The college was physically located on two separate campuses totalling 267 acres (108 ha). At one time, OVU offered bachelor's degrees in more than 30 different subject areas, but scaled back its academic options as enrollment numbers and financial stability dropped significantly in recent years. The college was accredited by the Higher Learning Commission, and was placed under academic probation in 2020 by the Higher Learning Commission due to ongoing long-term financial struggles. In December 2021, the OVU Board of Directors voted to close the college after the Fall 2021 semester. The West Virginia Higher Education Policy Commission voted to revoke OVU's authority to grant degrees shortly thereafter. Seniors were allowed to finish their degrees without the loss of any credit hours in the spring semester of 2022 at several other institutions of higher education related to Churches of Christ through "teach out" agreements. In August 2022 it was reported to WTAP News that OVU had lost all academic records since 1960 and had no records of anyone's attendance at the school.

The UT Martin Skyhawks are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Tennessee at Martin (UTM) in Martin, Tennessee, United States. The Skyhawks athletic program is a member of the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC) and competes at the NCAA Division I level including the Football Championship Subdivision. The UTM mascot is Captain Skyhawk. The school colors are navy and orange.

The top six finishers in the regular season of the conference's ten teams advance to the double elimination tournament, most recently held in 2022 at Wild Health Field in Lexington, Kentucky. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship.

The Mid-American Conference Baseball Tournament is the conference baseball championship of the Mid-American Conference, Division I members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Since 2022, the top four finishers participate in the double-elimination tournament, which is played at the home field of the top seed. The winner of the tournament receives an automatic berth to the NCAA Division I Baseball Championship. The tournament began in 1981, but was not held from 1984 through 1991. It returned in 1992 and was held annually through 2019. It was scheduled to be played in May 2020, but was cancelled in March 2020 due to the coronavirus pandemic. As part of several changes announced in May 2020 related to the pandemic, the tournament was eliminated along with the post-season tournaments of seven other sports, for at least four seasons. The tournament, however, returned in May 2022 after the conference announced in May 2021 that the baseball tournament, along with all other conference tournaments that had been eliminated, would be restored for the 2021–22 athletic season. Kent State has won the most tournament titles with 12, followed by Central Michigan and Eastern Michigan with four each.

The 2013 Ohio Valley Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22–25. The top six regular season finishers met in the double-elimination tournament, which was held at Pringles Park in Jackson, Tennessee. The tournament champion will earn the conference's automatic bid to the 2013 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament.

The 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season was a college baseball season in the United States organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I level. It began on February 18, 2022, with play progressing through the regular season, various conference tournaments and championship series, and concluding with the 2022 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament and 2022 Men's College World Series. The Men's College World Series, consisting of the eight remaining teams in the NCAA Tournament and held annually in Omaha, Nebraska, at Charles Schwab Field Omaha, ended on June 26, 2022.

The 2022 Prospect League season is the 13th season of collegiate summer baseball in the Prospect League, an collegiate summer baseball league in the Midwestern United States, since its creation in June 2009. There are 16 Prospect League teams, split evenly between Eastern and Western Conferences. These conferences are then split up between the Ohio River Valley, Wabash River, Great River, and Prairie Land divisions.
