The women's singles competition of the 2021 World Table Tennis Championships was held from 23 to 29 November 2021. [1] Liu Shiwen was the defending champion but did not compete in this year's tournament.

Sun Yingsha is a Chinese table tennis player. She is the current world No. 1 in women's singles.

The women's singles table tennis event was part of the table tennis programme at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo. The event took place from 24 July to 29 July 2021 at Tokyo Metropolitan Gymnasium.
