Tereza Mihalíková is a Slovak tennis player. She has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 41 by the WTA, reached on 28 October 2024.

Tatjana Maria defeated the defending champion Anastasija Sevastova in the final, 6–4, 7–5 to win the singles title at the 2018 Mallorca Open. It was her maiden WTA singles title.

Alison Riske defeated Kiki Bertens in the final, 0–6, 7–6(7–3), 7–5, to win the women's singles title at the 2019 Rosmalen Grass Court Championships. Riske saved five championship points en route to winning her second career WTA Tour singles title, her first in five years.

Anastasija Sevastova was the defending champion, but lost in the second round to Patricia Maria Țig.

Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2020 Australian Open. It was their second Australian Open title together. Despite the loss, Hsieh regained the WTA no. 1 doubles ranking for the first time since 2014, replacing her partner Strýcová. The 2021 WTA Slovenia Open was a WTA 250 tournament played on outdoor hard courts. It was the 7th edition of the Slovenia Open, last held in 2010. It was primarily organised due to the cancellation of the Asian tournaments during the 2021 season because of the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. The 2021 event took place at the Tennis Club Portorož in Portorož, Slovenia from 13 to 19 September 2021.

Maria Kondratieva and Vladimíra Uhlířová were the champions from the previous edition in 2010, but both players retired from professional tennis in 2016.

This was the first edition of the women's event.

Belinda Bencic was the defending champion, having won the previous edition in 2019, but she withdrew before the tournament began.

Defending champion Leylah Fernandez defeated Camila Osorio in the final, 6–7(5–7), 6–4, 7–6(7–3) to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Monterrey Open. Fernandez saved five championship points en route to the title, all in the final set.

Beatriz Haddad Maia defeated Alison Riske in the final, 6–4, 1–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Nottingham Open. It was her first WTA Tour singles title, and she became the first Brazilian to win a WTA Tour title on grass since Maria Bueno in 1968.

This is the first edition of the event as a WTA 125 tournament. It was part of the ITF Women's Circuit from 2016 to 2018. Viktória Kužmová was the champion when the event was last held in 2018, but lost in the first round of qualifying to Amarissa Kiara Tóth.

Barbora Krejčíková defeated Anett Kontaveit in the final, 6–2, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Tallinn Open.

Ons Jabeur defeated Diana Shnaider in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2023 Ningbo Open. It was her first hardcourt title on the WTA Tour, after prior championships on clay and grass surfaces. Shnaider was contesting her first WTA Tour final.
