Ismaily Sporting Club is an Egyptian professional football club, established on 20 March 1921 as El Nahda Sporting Club, based in Ismaïlia, Egypt. The club is best known for its football team. Also it's considered as an Egyptian National Club, where they helped the famous local tour of duty to play for the benefit of the homeland against the occupying armies. The club's nickname The Brazilians, is a reference to their uniforms, which echo those of the Brazil national team, and similar style of play.
Neslihan Yiğit is a Turkish badminton player. The 178 cm (5.84 ft) tall athlete plays right-handed and is coached by Çağatay Taşdemir at Egospor club of Ankara Metropolitan Municipality. She won the women's singles title at the 2013 Islamic Solidarity Games, 2013, 2018 Mediterranean Games and the women's doubles title at the 2013 Mediterranean Games. Yiğit also won the bronze medals at the 2015 European Games and at the 2021 and 2022 European Championships.
Doha Hany Mostafa is an Egyptian badminton player. She started playing badminton at aged five, and joined the national team in 2013. She won the bronze medal at the 2014 African Youth Games, and represented her country at the Summer Youth Olympics in Nanjing, China. She was the women's doubles gold medalist at the 2019 African Games. Hany featured in Egypt team that for the first time won the All Africa Women's Team Championships in 2020, also claimed two title in the individual competition by winning the women's and mixed doubles event. She competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics in three different events; women's singles, doubles and mixed doubles.
Mohamed Abderrahime Belarbi is an Algerian badminton player who trained at the Chantecler club in Bordeaux, France. He competed at the 2010 Singapore Summer Youth Olympics. He was one of the 14 players selected for the Road to Rio Program, a program that aimed to help African badminton players to compete at the 2016 Olympic Games. Belarbi won the men's doubles title at the 2018 African Championships.
Adham Hatem Elgamal is an Egyptian badminton player. He won the mixed doubles title at the 2020 African Championships together with his partner Doha Hany. Elgamal competed at the 2019 African Games, won a silver in the mixed doubles, and two bronze medals in the team and men's doubles events. He also participated at the 2018 Mediterranean Games, and at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
Koceila Julien Mammeri is a badminton player from Algeria who trained at the Oullins club in France. In the junior event, he was the third place at the Portugal International tournament in the boys' doubles event. He won gold medals at the 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 African Championships for men's doubles with his partner Youcef Sabri Medel, and in 2018 and 2019 for mixed doubles with Linda Mazri, and also in 2021 and 2022 for mixed doubles with Tanina Mammeri. Together with Mazri, he claimed the gold medal at the 2019 African Games.
Youcef Sabri Medel is a badminton player from Algeria. He won the boys' doubles silver and singles bronze at the 2014 African Youth Games in Gaborone, Botswana. Medel was the gold medalists at the 2017, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 African Championships for men's double with his partner, Koceila Mammeri.

Thet Htar Thuzar is a Burmese badminton player. She participated at the 2013 SEA Games in her home country Myanmar. She won her first International title at the Egypt International 2018. As of 2019 she had reached eight finals, most of them in the African Badminton Circuit, winning six events.
Badminton events at the 2019 African Games took place between 22 and 29 August at the Ain Chock Indoor Sports Center in Casablanca, Morocco. The badminton program in 2019 included men's and women's singles competitions; men's, women's and mixed doubles competitions alongside a mixed team event throughout the eight days of competition. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan.

The 2022 Badminton Asia Championships was a badminton tournament held at the Muntinlupa Sports Complex, Muntinlupa in the Philippines from 26 April to 1 May 2022. The prior tournament was held in 2019, with no tournament held for the ensuing two years due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Fadilah Shamika Mohamed Rafi is a Ugandan badminton player. She started playing badminton when she was 10 year old. She had represented Uganda at the 2022 Commonwealth Games where she played in the women's doubles with Husina Kobugabe. The pair reached the quarter-final where they lost to Chloe Birch and Lauren Smith. In 2023, she won gold at the African Championships for the women's singles.
