The 2022 Idemitsu FIM Asia Road Racing Championship was the 27th season of the Asia Road Racing Championship. The season started on 25 March at Chang International Circuit in Thailand and ended on 20 November back at Chang International Circuit. [1]

Sepang International Circuit, is a motorsport race track in Sepang, Selangor, Malaysia. It is located approximately 45-kilometre (28 mi) south of Kuala Lumpur, and close to Kuala Lumpur International Airport. It hosted the Formula One Malaysian Grand Prix between 1999 and 2017, and is also the venue for the Malaysian Motorcycle Grand Prix, the Malaysia Merdeka Endurance Race and other major motorsport events. Previously known as the Sepang F1 Circuit, it was renamed to the Sepang International Circuit. On 31 October 2023, it was announced that Petronas has acquired the naming rights to the circuit for three years in an undisclosed fee.
Zhuhai International Circuit (ZIC) is located at Jin Ding town in Zhuhai City, Guangdong Province, China.
The Lusail International Circuit is a motor racing circuit located just outside the city of Lusail, north of Doha, Qatar. The track is 5.419 km (3.367 mi) in length, with a main straight of 1.068 km (0.664 mi). It is surrounded by artificial grass intended to stop the sand encroaching on the track.
Makoto Tamada (玉田誠) is a former Japanese professional motorcycle racer currently working as a rider instructor in Suzuka Racing School. He is one of the few riders to win races in both MotoGP and Superbike World Championship.

The 2011 Malaysian motorcycle Grand Prix was the seventeenth round of the 2011 Grand Prix motorcycle racing season. It took place on the weekend of 21–23 October 2011 at the Sepang International Circuit, but the MotoGP race was red-flagged and subsequently cancelled after two laps due to a serious accident involving Marco Simoncelli. Simoncelli fell while running fourth, his bike and body veering across the path of Colin Edwards and Valentino Rossi. Simoncelli was fatally struck in the head and chest by the two bikes. He was taken straight to the circuit's medical centre, but died of his injuries shortly thereafter.

The Buriram International Circuit is a motorsport race track in Buriram, Buriram Province, Thailand. The circuit was opened in October 2014. This is the first FIA Grade 1 and FIM Grade A circuit in Thailand.

The championship featured a mix of professional and amateur drivers, competing in Formula 3 cars that conform to the FIA Formula 3 regulations for the championship. The 2023 FIM Moto2 World Championship was part of the 75th FIM Road Racing World Championship season. Pedro Acosta won the championship with two races to spare after finishing second at the Malaysian round in Sepang, riding for Red Bull KTM Ajo.

The season started on 8 March at Sepang International Circuit in Malaysia and ended on 29 November at Chang International Circuit.The Season was also marked by the death of 16 years old Philippines rider Amber Garcia.
