The girls' singles of the tournament 2022 BWF World Junior Championships is an individual badminton tournament to crowned the best girls' singles under 19 player across the BWF associate members around the world. Players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young Joong. [1] The tournament will be held from 24 to 30 October 2022 in the Palacio de Deportes de Santander, Spain. [2] The defending champion was Riko Gunji from Japan, but she was not eligible to participate this year. [3]

The BWF World Junior Championships is a tournament organized by the Badminton World Federation (BWF) to crown the best junior badminton players (under-19) in the world. The championships is held annually and consists of two separate competitions: a mixed team championships followed by an individual championships.
Hanna Ramadini is an Indonesian badminton player affiliated with Mutiara Cardinal Bandung club. She had been recently married with another badminton player, Arya Maulana Aldiartama.
Gregoria Mariska Tunjung Cahyaningsih is an Indonesian badminton player who plays in the singles event. Her club is PB. Mutiara Cardinal in Bandung, West Java, and entered the national team in 2013. She won the girls' singles title at the 2017 World Junior Championships. Tunjung also featured in the Indonesian women's winning team at the 2022 Asia Team Championships.
Sun Yu is a Chinese badminton player. She was part of the Chinese winning team of the 2014 and the 2016 Uber Cup.
Yuta Watanabe is a Japanese badminton player. He is a member of the Nihon Unisys team, and national team A representative. He is known for his quick and explosive movements with his signature drop shots on court. Watanabe has collected three bronze medals at the World Junior Championships, and also four bronze at the Asian Junior Championships. Watanabe was selected to join the Japanese mixed team compete at the 2017 Sudirman Cup in Gold Coast, Australia, winning a gold medal in the qualification to Gold Coast at the 2017 Asia Mixed Team Championships in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, and the team finished in the semi-final round, took the bronze medal. The left-handed Watanabe has won Super 1000 tournaments a total of five times, and was the first ever male player from Japan to win an All England Open title, first at the 2018 All England Open in the mixed doubles event partnered with Arisa Higashino, then in the 2020 All England Open in the men's doubles event with Hiroyuki Endo, and in both men's and mixed doubles in the 2021 All England Open, defending his men's doubles title with Hiroyuki Endo and winning the mixed doubles category with once again, Arisa Higashino. Watanabe won the mixed doubles bronze medal at the 2020 Summer Olympics, defeating Hong Kong's Tang Chun Man and Tse Ying Suet in the bronze medal match.
Pornpawee Chochuwong is a Thai badminton player. She was the girls' singles silver medalist at the 2015 Asian and 2016 World Junior Championships. She was also part of the Thai winning teams at the 2017 and 2019 Southeast Asian Games. Chochuwong won her first World Tour title at the 2020 Spain Masters by beating the reigning Olympic champion Carolina Marín in the final.
Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo is an Indonesian badminton player. He was a World junior silver medalist in 2016 and Asian Championships bronze medalist in 2022. Dwi Wardoyo also part of Indonesia winning team at the 2020 Thomas Cup.
Lakshya Sen is an Indian badminton player. Sen is a former world junior no. 1. He has won gold medals at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships in the boys' singles and at the Summer Youth Olympics in the mixed team event. He won the bronze medal at the 2021 World Championships and was runner-up at the 2022 All England Open. Sen was also a part of the Indian team which won the Thomas Cup 2022. He also won the gold medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games held in Birmingham in men’s singles badminton.
Kunlavut Vitidsarn is a Thai badminton player. He was three-times World Junior champion, winning in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Vitidsarn became the first men's singles player to win three World Junior Championships titles, joining Ratchanok Intanon and Chen Qingchen as a three-time winner of the World Junior title in the same discipline. He claimed the gold medal at the Asian Junior Championships in 2019, where he previously won a silver in 2018 and bronze in 2017. Vitidsarn participated at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics, and was part of the team Omega took the silver medal in the mixed team event. He was named the 2020/2021 Eddy Choong Most Promising Player.
Han Yue is a Chinese badminton player. She won the girls' singles title at the 2017 Asian Junior Championships, and the mixed team title at the World Junior Championships. Han was part of the national team that won the 2019 Tong Yun Kai Cup. Her best achievement in an individual event was becoming the champion at the BWF World Tour Super 300 2018 Syed Modi International.
Wang Zhiyi is a Chinese badminton player from Shashi, Jingzhou, in Hubei province. She started her career as a badminton player by training in Jingzhou sports school. She went to the Hubei provincial training centre in 2009, and was selected to join the team in 2013. In 2016, Wang joined the national team, and became part of the national second team in 2017. She was the girls' singles champion at the 2018 Asian Junior Championships, and also helped the national team to clinch the mixed team title. Wang represented her country at the 2018 Summer Youth Olympics in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and clinched the girls' singles silver. She won the women's singles title at the 2022 Asian Championships, which is the biggest title of her career.

The 2022 BWF World Junior Championships, is the twenty-second edition of the BWF World Junior Championships. It will be held in Santander, Spain at the Palacio de Deportes de Santander from 17 to 30 October 2022. Individual players will compete to win the Eye Level Cup presented by the former BWF President and chairman of the World Youth Culture Foundation, Kang Young-joong, and the mixed team will compete to win Suhandinata Cup.
Tasnim Mir is an Indian badminton player. She is the current BWF World Junior Number 1.
Febriana Dwipuji Kusuma is an Indonesian badminton player. She was part of the national junior team that won the first Suhandinata Cup for Indonesia in 2019 BWF World Junior Championships. She also featured in the Indonesian women's winning team at the 2022 Asia Team Championships.
