The 2022 North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team represented the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the 2022 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Tar Heels played their home games at Boshamer Stadium as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Scott Forbes, in his second season as head coach.

Previous season

The 2021 Tar Heels finished the season with a 28–27 (18–18) record. They tied for 3rd place in the ACC's Coastal Division, and made the NCAA tournament's Lubbock Regional, where they upset UCLA in the first game before losing to hosts Texas Tech, and the Bruins, to be eliminated.

The Wolfpack finished the season 2nd in the ACC's Atlantic Division with a record of 42–18, 19–11 in conference play. They qualified for the 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament, and were eliminated in pool play. They were invited to host the Raleigh Regional in the 2018 NCAA Division I baseball tournament. They lost in the regional final to Auburn.

The Wolfpack played their home games at Doak Field as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Elliott Avent, his 23rd season at NC State. The Wolfpack finished the season 2nd in the ACC's Atlantic Division with a record of 42–19, 18–12 in conference play. They qualified as the three seed for the 2019 Atlantic Coast Conference baseball tournament, winning group C, and were eliminated in the semi-finals by Georgia Tech. They were invited to the Greenville Regional in the 2019 NCAA Division I baseball tournament where they were eliminated by East Carolina.

The Rams played their home games at The Diamond as a member of the Atlantic 10 Conference. They will be led by head coach Bradley LeCroy, in his first season with the program.

The 2023 North Carolina Tar Heels baseball team represented the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Tar Heels played their home games at Boshamer Stadium, and were a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Scott Forbes, who was in his third season. He was assisted by Bryant Gaines, Jesse Wierzbicki, and Jason Howell. Dave Arendas served as director of operations.

The 2023 Virginia Cavaliers baseball team represented the University of Virginia during the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Cavaliers played their home games at Davenport Field as a members of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Brian O'Connor, in his 20th season at Virginia.
