The 2022 Women's European Baseball Championship was an international baseball tournament for women organized by Confederation of European Baseball. The 2022 European Championship was held in August 2022 in Montpellier, France. [1] France were defending champions and hosts for the second successive tournament. [2] It was Great Britain's first international championship. [3]

A point system is used, with points being awarded based on the results of WBSC-recognized international tournaments. Six teams qualified for the Olympic softball tournament, including Japan, which, as host nation, qualified automatically. The Women’s European Baseball Championship (WEBC) is the main championship tournament between national women’s baseball teams in Europe, governed by the Confederation of European Baseball (CEB).

The 2021 Women's Baseball World Cup would have been the ninth edition of the WBSC Women's Baseball World Cup, the biennial international women's baseball world championship tournament. The competition was planned to be held in Tijuana, Mexico in late 2021, with dates to be announced. The competition was originally to be held in Monterrey, Mexico from 11 to 20 September 2020, and was initially rescheduled to be held in Tijuana from 1 to 9 March 2021, but was postponed both times due to the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament was cancelled altogether in October 2021.

The Baseball5 European Championship is the main championship tournament between national Baseball5 teams in Europe, governed by the WBSC Europe. The tournament serves as qualifier for the Baseball5 World Cup, with the top two teams qualifying for the world championship. France and Lithuania are the most successful teams, having won the championship once.
