The 2023 AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup was the 10th edition (3rd official) of the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup (previously the AFC Beach Soccer Championship before rebranding in 2021), [4] the premier beach soccer tournament contested by Asian men's national teams, organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC).
The tournament took place in Pattaya, Thailand. The championship also acted as the qualification tournament for Asian teams for the 2023 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, to be held in the United Arab Emirates. The top three teams qualified for the World Cup, including the United Arab Emirates who automatically qualified as the host.
Japan were the defending champions, but lost to Iran in the final. [5] [6]
A total of 16 teams entered the tournament.

The draw of the tournament was held on 19 January 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. [7] The 16 teams were drawn into four groups of four teams. The teams were seeded according to their performance in the 2019 AFC Beach Soccer Championship final tournament, with the hosts Thailand automatically seeded and assigned to Position A1 in the draw. [8]

The AFC second round of 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification began on 18 February 2004 and finished on 17 November 2004.
Beach soccer at the 2010 Asian Beach Games was held from 8 December to 16 December 2010 in Muscat, Oman.
Beach soccer at the 2012 Asian Beach Games was held from 16 June to 21 June 2012 in Haiyang, China.
The 2013 AFC U-22 Championship was the first edition of the AFC U-22 Championship. The hosting rights for the tournament was awarded to Oman. It was set to take place between 23 June and 7 July 2013 but was postponed to be held between 11 and 26 January 2014 due to the 2013 EAFF East Asian Cup.
The 2014 AFC U-19 Championship was the 38th edition of the biennial international youth football tournament organized by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) for players aged 19 and below. Myanmar were approved as hosts of the competition on 25 April 2013. The 2015 AFC Beach Soccer Championship was a beach soccer tournament which took place in Doha, Qatar on 23–28 March 2015. This was the second consecutive time that the AFC Beach Soccer Championship was held in Doha. All matches were played at the Katara Beach.

The 2019 Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup was the ninth edition of the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, an annual international beach soccer tournament contested by men's national teams. Held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates since its inception, this year's event occurs between 5 and 9 November. The tournament was organised by the Dubai Sports Council (DSC) and Beach Soccer Worldwide (BSWW). Unlike in previous editions, there was no lead sponsor this year.

The 2022 WAFF Beach Soccer Championship was the 2nd edition of the WAFF Beach Soccer Championship, the international beach soccer championship contested by men's national teams of the member associations of WAFF. The tournament was held in Jazan, Saudi Arabia. Initially, the competition was scheduled from May 16 to 21, 2022, but it was postponed by two days due to the death of Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. as Saudi Arabia observed a three-day suspension of sports activities in Saudi Arabia as a mark of respect.
The second round of 2026 FIFA World Cup AFC qualification, which also served as the second round of 2027 AFC Asian Cup qualification, began on 16 November 2023 and was completed on 11 June 2024.
