FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup

In 2002, Thailand made a 4th-place finish in Brazil after losing third-place playoff final against Uruguay. The team were drawn into group A alongside Brazil and managed to beat France and Spain to reach the semifinal and lost 3–2 to Portugal. Thailand's goalkeeper Vilard Normcharoen was voted goalkeeper of the tournament.

In the 2005 edition, Thailand were again drawn into the same group as Brazil and Spain but they found goals hard to come by and finished bottom of group A.

Asian Beach Games

In 2012, FA of Thailand appointed Mr Kittipat Meesuwan as chairman of beach soccer committee, and he appointed[ citation needed ] Mr Abolfazl Khodabandehloo as technical director and Mr Shahram Danehkar as head coach. 2012 Asian Beach Games in China is their nearest aim.

The United Arab Emirates national beach soccer team represents United Arab Emirates in beach soccer. They are one of the most successful Asian national teams, having won twice the AFC Beach Soccer Asian Cup. At the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup, however, they have never got past the group stage. The UAE team has participated in every edition of the Beach Soccer Intercontinental Cup, which was founded after the 2009 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was hosted in the United Arab Emirates and which is played only in the UAE,They will host it once again as for the second time in 2023.

The Russian national futsal team is the national futsal team of Russia. The team is controlled by the Russian Football Union and affiliats with UEFA. The 2013 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the seventh edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup. Overall, this was the 17th edition of a world cup in beach soccer since the establishment of the Beach Soccer World Championships which ran from 1995–2004 but was not governed by FIFA. It took place from 18–28 September 2013 at Tahua To'ata Stadium in Papeete, Tahiti, French Polynesia and was the fourth tournament to have taken place outside Brazil. This was the second tournament to take place since the establishment of a longer two-year cycle of tournaments. The 2021 FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup was the 11th edition of the FIFA Beach Soccer World Cup.
