The 2023 ASEAN Para Games, officially known as the 12th ASEAN Para Games, and commonly known as Cambodia 2023, was an biennial Southeast Asian multi-sport event for athletes with disabilities held from 3 to 9 June 2023 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. It was the first time that Cambodia hosted the ASEAN Para Games. Celebrated in the tradition of the ASEAN Para Games as governed by the ASEAN Para Sports Federation (APSF).

ASEAN Para Sports Federation and Cambodian ASEAN Para Games Organizing Committee (CAMAPGOC) on 29 July 2022 agreed on 12 initial sports for the Games during a meeting held in Surakarta, Indonesia. [1] [2]

Esports were a demonstration event. This marked the first time that the sport was held in a multi-parasports event. [3]

Talal Fahad Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah was elected as President of the OCA on 8 July 2023. However, on 30 July 2023, the International Olympic Committee (IOC) asked Randhir Singh, who was previously the acting president, to continue as the Acting President of the OCA, while the IOC investigated the OCA presidential election of 2023. On 13 October 2023, the IOC ethics committee asked the OCA to annul its 2023 elections due to Talal’s candidacy not fulfilling the eligibility conditions defined by the OCA Constitution and election interference by his brother Ahmad Al-Fahad Al-Sabah.

2022 ASEAN University Games officially the 20th ASEAN University Games and also known as Ubon Ratchathani 2022 is a regional multi-sport event held from 26 July to 6 August 2022 in Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand. Originally planned to take place from 13 to 22 December 2020, it was eventually rescheduled as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Esports at the 2023 ASEAN Para Games was held from 4 to 5 June 2023 at the NABA Theatre at Nagaworld 2 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia.

Cambodia participated in the 2023 ASEAN Para Games in Phnom Penh, as host from 3 to 9 June 2023. The Cambodian contingent consisted of 252 athletes.
