The 2024 FIR World Tour is the main global racketlon tour organized by the Federation of International Racketlon (FIR). The season ends in December with World Tour Finals.

A maximum break is the highest possible break in snooker in normal circumstances and is a special type of total clearance. A player compiles a maximum break by potting all 15 reds with 15 blacks for 120 points, followed by all six colours for a further 27 points. Compiling a maximum break is regarded as a highly significant achievement in the game of snooker, and may be compared to a nine-dart finish in darts or a 300 game in ten-pin bowling.
The European Tour, currently titled as the DP World Tour for sponsorship reasons, and legally the PGA European Tour or the European Tour Group, is the leading men's professional golf tour in Europe. The organisation also operates the European Senior Tour and the developmental Challenge Tour; the second tier of men's professional golf in Europe. The tour's headquarters are at the Wentworth Club in Virginia Water, Surrey, England. The European Tour was established by the British-based Professional Golfers' Association through the 1970s, and responsibility was transferred to an independent PGA European Tour organisation in 1984.
Gustav Hansen is a Danish professional poker player from Copenhagen, Denmark who has lived in Monaco since 2003. In his poker career, Hansen has won three World Poker Tour open titles, one WSOP bracelet and the 2007 Aussie Millions main event, and was the season one winner of the Poker Superstars Invitational Tournament. Before turning to playing poker professionally in 1997, Hansen was already a world class backgammon player and a youth tennis champion.
The Indus Water Treaty (IWT) is a water-distribution treaty between India and Pakistan, arranged and negotiated by the World Bank, to use the water available in the Indus River and its tributaries. It was signed in Karachi on 19 September 1960 by then Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and then Pakistani president Field Marshal Ayub Khan.
Rohan Machanda Bopanna is an Indian professional tennis player who specializes in doubles. He attained the world No. 1 ranking after winning his first major doubles title at the 2024 Australian Open with Matthew Ebden, becoming the oldest first-time No. 1 at the age of 43.
The Grand Slam of Curling is a series of curling bonspiels that were formerly part of the annual World Curling Tour. Grand Slam events offer a purse of at least CAD$100,000, and feature the best teams from across Canada and around the World. The Grand Slam was instituted during the 2001–02 season for men and 2006–07 for women, but some of the Grand Slam events have longer histories as bonspiels.
Mikhail Aleksandrovich Kukushkin is a Russian-born Kazakhstani professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 39, achieved on 25 February 2019.
The World Snooker Tour (WST) is the main professional snooker tour, consisting of about 128 players competing on a circuit of up to 28 tournaments each season. The World Snooker Tour is administered by World Snooker Ltd, the commercial arm of professional snooker, which introduced the World Snooker Tour name, logo, and revised website as part of a 2020 rebranding. The principal stakeholder in World Snooker Ltd is Matchroom Sport, which owns 51 percent of the company; the sport's governing body, the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA), owns 26 percent. To compete on the World Snooker Tour, players must be WPBSA members.
Cristian Ignacio Garín Medone is a Chilean professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 17 by the ATP in singles, achieved on 13 September 2021. He also has a career-high doubles ranking of world No. 206, achieved on 10 May 2021. He is the current Chilean No. 3.
Alexander Zverev is a German professional tennis player and the current ATP world No. 3. He has won 22 ATP Tour titles in singles and two in doubles, and has been runner-up at two Grand Slams, the 2020 US Open and 2024 French Open.
Taro Daniel is a Japanese professional tennis player. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 58 on 15 January 2024. He has won one ATP Tour singles title at the 2018 Istanbul Open, as well as eight ATP Challenger Tour singles titles. He is currently the No. 2 Japanese player in men's singles.
Félix Auger-Aliassime is a Canadian professional tennis player. He has a career-high singles ranking of No. 6, which he achieved on November 7, 2022, making him the second-highest-ranked Canadian man in ATP rankings history and the fourth-highest-ranked Canadian player in history. He has a doubles ranking of No. 60, attained on November 1, 2021. He has won five singles titles and one doubles title on the ATP Tour, and was selected as the 2022 Canadian Press athlete of the year. Auger-Aliassime was also part of Canada's winning squad in the 2022 ATP Cup as well as the 2022 Davis Cup Finals. At the 2024 Paris Olympics, he won the bronze in Mixed Doubles with Gabriela Dabrowski, beating Demi Schuurs and Wesley Koolhof 6-3, 7(7)-6(2).
The 2016 UCI Europe Tour was the twelfth season of the UCI Europe Tour. The 2016 season began on 28 January 2016 with the Trofeo Santanyí-Ses Salines-Campos and ended on 23 October 2016 with the Chrono des Nations.
Stefanos Tsitsipas is a Greek professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as world No. 3 by the ATP, which he first achieved on 9 August 2021, making him the highest-ranked Greek, tied with Maria Sakkari.
Tallon Griekspoor is a Dutch professional tennis player. He has a career-high ATP singles ranking of world No. 21, achieved on 6 November 2023. He also has a career-high ATP doubles ranking of No. 61 achieved on 10 June 2024. Griekspoor is the current Dutch No. 1 singles player. He has won a record eight Challenger titles in one season (2021), and became also the first player in history to win five consecutive such titles.
The BWF World Tour is a Grade 2 badminton tournament series, sanctioned by Badminton World Federation (BWF). It is a competition open to the top world ranked players in singles and doubles. The competition was announced on 19 March 2017 and came into effect starting from 2018, replacing the BWF Super Series, which was held from 2007 to 2017.
Wang Zhiyi is a Chinese badminton player from Shashi, Jingzhou, in Hubei province. She was two-time Asian Champions winning the title in 2022 and 2024. She was part of China winning team in the 2020 and 2024 Uber Cup, as well at the 2021 and 2023 Sudirman Cup.
Jannik Sinner is an Italian professional tennis player. He is ranked as the world No. 1 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), the first Italian player to reach the top ranking. Sinner has won 17 singles titles on the ATP Tour, including two majors at the 2024 Australian Open and the 2024 US Open, as well as four Masters 1000 titles. Sinner was runner-up at the 2023 ATP Finals and led Italy to the 2023 Davis Cup crown, its first since 1976. He has a career-high ranking of world No. 124 in doubles, achieved in September 2021, and has one ATP Tour title in doubles.
Carlos Alcaraz Garfia is a Spanish professional tennis player. He has been ranked as high as World No. 1 in singles by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP). Alcaraz has won 16 ATP Tour-level singles titles, including four major titles and five Masters 1000 titles.
The 2023 ATP Tour was the global elite men's professional tennis circuit organised by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for the 2023 tennis season. The 2023 ATP Tour calendar comprised the Grand Slam tournaments, supervised by the International Tennis Federation (ITF), the ATP Finals, the ATP Tour Masters 1000, the United Cup, the ATP 500 series, the ATP 250 series. Also included in the 2023 calendar were the Davis Cup, Next Gen ATP Finals, Laver Cup, Hopman Cup, none of which distributed ranking points. 2023 marked the return of the ATP tournaments in China after strict COVID-19 protocols in the country.
