The 2024 Hong Kong Cricket Sixes will be the twentieth edition of the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes that is scheduled to take place at Mission Road Ground in Mong Kok, Hong Kong. The tournament will host 12 nations that will be competing across three days from 1 to 3 November 2024. This will mark a 7-year hiatus since the tournament was last played. [1] [2]
The Hong Kong Cricket Sixes is a six-a-side international cricket tournament held at the Kowloon Cricket Club. It is organised by the Cricket Hong Kong and sanctioned by the International Cricket Council. The first edition was played in 1993 and was last played in 2017. [3] [4] The tournament is set to return in 2024 after a 7-year hiatus and will expand to 12 nations from 8 in previous editions. Tabarak Dar is a Pakistani-born former international cricketer who played for Hong Kong and is now an umpire.

The Hong Kong women's national cricket team is the team that represents the Chinese special administrative region of Hong Kong in international women's cricket. In April 2018, the International Cricket Council (ICC) granted full Women's Twenty20 International (WT20I) status to all its members. Therefore, all Twenty20 matches played between Hong Kong women and other ICC members after 1 July 2018 will be a full WT20I. Hong Kong made its Twenty20 International debut against Indonesia on 12 January 2019 at Bangkok during the Thailand Women's T20 Smash.
Munir Ahmed Dar also known as Moner Ahmed is a Pakistani cricketer who has represented the Hong Kong national team internationally. He notably scored 36 runs off 27 balls as Hong Kong beat Bangladesh during the 2014 ICC World Twenty20.
Mohammad Amir is a Pakistani cricketer who is playing for the Pakistan national cricket team. He is a left-arm fast bowler and a left handed batsman. He retired from international cricket in 2020 aged 28 but on 24 March 2024 he took his retirement back and made himself available for the Pakistan cricket team. He was a member of the Pakistan team that won the 2009 ICC World Twenty20 and 2017 ICC Champions Trophy.
The 2009 Hong Kong Cricket Sixes was the fifteenth contesting of the tournament, taking place at Kowloon Cricket Club, Hong Kong. Eight nations competed in twenty-two matches over two days, 31 October – 1 November 2009. South Africa won the tournament, narrowly defeating hosts Hong Kong in the final, after Farhaan Behardien hit the required six off the last ball of the match.

Gulbadin Naib is an Afghan cricketer. An all-rounder, Naib bats right-handed and bowls right-arm fast-medium. In April 2019, the Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) named Naib the team's new One Day International (ODI) captain ahead of the 2019 Cricket World Cup, replacing Asghar Afghan. However, following the Cricket World Cup, where Afghanistan lost all of their matches, Rashid Khan was named as the new captain of the Afghanistan cricket team across all three formats. Naib led Afghanistan to the silver medal in the 2022 Asian Games.
The 2011 Hong Kong Cricket Sixes was the seventeenth edition of the Hong Kong Cricket Sixes, taking place at Kowloon Cricket Club, Hong Kong. Twelve teams competed in the tournament which lasted over three days from 28 to 30 October 2011. The tournament also featured China for the second time playing an exhibition match with a Hong Kong development team. The tournament was won by Pakistan who defeated England in the final.
Quinton de Kock is a South African cricketer and former captain of the Proteas in all three formats. He currently plays for South Africa in T20 International, Titans at the domestic level, and Lucknow Super Giants in the Indian Premier League. He was named the Cricketer of the Year at Cricket South Africa's 2017 Annual Awards. Considered as one of the best wicket keeper batsmen of his generation. An opening batsman and wicket-keeper, de Kock made his domestic debut for the Highveld Lions during the 2012/2013 season. He quickly caught the national selectors' eye when he starred in a match-winning partnership with Neil McKenzie in the Champions League T20 against the Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League (IPL)..He also finished fourth on the first-class rankings, despite playing only six of the 10 matches that summer.

Eight teams competing in the tournament which lasted over two days from 27 to 28 October 2012. The tournament also featured China cricket team playing an exhibition match with a Hong Kong development team. The previous tournament was won by Pakistan who defeated England in the final.
