In domestic cricket he represents Warwickshire, having previously played for Worcestershire. He has also played in multiple Twenty20 leagues, including for Royal Challengers Bangalore and Chennai Super Kings in the Indian Premier League.

James William Arthur Taylor is an English former cricketer and cricket selector who played for Nottinghamshire and England. A right-handed batsman and occasional right-arm leg break bowler, Taylor made his debut in first-class cricket in 2008 for Leicestershire and made major impressions in his first county seasons. He is noted as being a fine fielder in the covers. He became the youngest Leicestershire one-day centurion and first-class double centurion. In 2009, Taylor also became the youngest player in Leicestershire's history to score 1,000 championship runs in a season. A promising talent in his 34 white-ball appearances for England, Taylor was forced into retirement at just 26 years of age due to a previously undiagnosed heart condition.

Alexander Daniel Hales is an English cricketer. He is a right-handed opening batter who currently plays for Nottinghamshire and has represented the English Cricket Team across all formats. He made his One Day International debut against India in August 2014 and his Test cricket debut against South Africa in December 2015. Hales is the first English batter to score a T20I century, and has the highest individual score of an English batter in the format with his 116 not out against Sri Lanka in the 2014 ICC World Twenty20. He is also the first batter to be dismissed for 99 in an ODI and a T20I. Hales was a key member of the England team that won the 2022 T20 World Cup. In August 2023 Hales announced his retirement from international cricket, focusing on domestic and franchise T20 cricket.

Kariyawasam Indipalage Charith Asalanka is a Sri Lankan professional cricketer who plays all three formats of the game for the national team and also serves as the vice-captain of the national team in T20I and ODI. Aleft-handed batsman, Asalanka made his international debut for Sri Lanka in June 2021.

Balapuwaduge Kusal Gimhan Mendis, popularly known as Kusal Mendis is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer who plays as a top-order batter in all forms of the game and current captain of national ODI team. He only played sixteen first-class matches before playing for the national side. In November 2017, he was named the One Day International (ODI) batsman of the year for the 2016–17 season at Sri Lanka Cricket's annual awards.

The Sri Lanka national cricket team toured England from 8 May to 5 July 2016 for a three-match Test series, a five-match One Day International (ODI) series and a one-off Twenty20 International (T20I) against the England cricket team. England won the Test series 2–0, the ODI series 3–0 and won the one-off T20I match by 8 wickets.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Wanindu Hasaranga</span> Sri Lankan cricketer

Pinnaduwage Wanindu Hasaranga de Silva, better known as Wanindu Hasaranga, is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer and current T20I captain who plays for the Sri Lanka cricket team in white ball cricket as a Batting All rounder. He is a Right-arm leg spinner. Hasaranga made his international debut for Sri Lanka in July 2017. His elder brother, Chaturanga de Silva, has also represented the national team. Hasaranga made history when he took the first ever hat-trick for Sri Lanka in a T20 World Cup during the 2021 edition of the tournament, and being the first Sri Lankan on an ODI debut to take a hat-trick.

Downdegedara Asela Sampath Gunaratne, commonly known as Asela Gunaratne is a professional Sri Lankan cricketer, who played all forms of the game for Sri Lanka. Gunaratne is an aggressive right-handed batsman who occasionally bowls part-time medium pace. He is currently serving in the Sri Lanka Army as a Warrant officer attached to the 6th Field Regiment, Sri Lanka Artillery. He is a past pupil of Sri Rahula College, Kandy. In November 2017, he won four awards at Sri Lanka Cricket's annual awards ceremony, including two awards for best all-rounder.
